     William Reader was born about 1829 in Wootten Wawen, Warwickshire, England.1 He married Elizabeth Greathead, daughter of Edward Barnes, on 4 November 1858 in St Peter and Paul, Aston, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Joseph Yardley who signed with his mark and Fredk Jas Roberts. William was a miller, both he and Elizabeth gave their address as Duddeston.      Ann Reader was born about 1858 in Tanworth, Warwickshire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Reader and Elizabeth Barnes.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Tanworth Mill, Tanworth, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of William Reader.2 She married Henry Allen on 1 May 1886 in St Matthew's, Duddeston, Aston, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Allen and Fanny Lowe. Henry was a bricklayer like his father Joseph.      Edward Rhodes was born in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1 He married Ida Mary Moore, daughter of Arthur John Moore and Sarah Dowson, Edward was a Lythographic artist and worked for pettys of Leeds.1 Edward and Ida moved with the boys to Manchester. Later sadly they split and Ida and the boys returned to Leeds. Edward remarried.1

The ceremony was witnessed by Laura M Greathead of Southampton and Charma Roue from Park Head. Eliza was listed as his wife and given the surname of Stewart. All the children were described as scholars with a surname of Haydon and step children of George. Was this an out of marriage liaison? It would appear that George married Elizabeth the daughter in 1873 and they had a son William shortly after.4 She married George Stewart in 1873 in South Shields, Durham, England.5 In the census of 7 April 1881 in Commercial Road, South Shields, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of George Stewart.6 She married Henry Bright in 1885 in Sunderland, Durham, England, It would appear from the GRO index that Elizabeth married Henry using her maiden name of Haydon.7,8 Her father Robert died on 13 April 1887.9,10 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 16 Elgin Street, Sunderland, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Henry Bright.11 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 16 Elgin Street, Sunderland, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Henry Bright.12 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 8 Clementine Street, Sunderland, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Henry Bright.13 Elizabeth died in 1923 in Sunderland, Durham, England.14
