He was living with is wife who was listed as a dressmaker and two sons and his sister Frances. His wife's sister Charlotte Appleton aged 47 and her son Christopher aged 10 were also in the household.5 William was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 14 Havelock Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, William and Eliza were living with their children.
