     James Hobart Hutchinson was born on 11 November 1896 in Chayenne, Wyoming, USA, he later moved to Chigago in Illinois.1,2,3 He was the son of Samuel S Hutchinson.4 James applied for a passport on 26 July 1919 stating he had previously visited England 1912-1914 and France 15 April 1918 in Grand Hotel in Paris to current date. He stated he wished to contibue to be a US citizen and was travelling with the US Army.5 James was living 920 Judson Avenue, Evanton, Cook in Illinois when his Registration card was completed in 1942 when he was 45 years of age, He was employed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workersat 2403 W North Avenue in Chicago and signed his card.6 He married Edna Jean Greathead, daughter of Wellesley Hux Greathead and Estell Sipes, in April 1961 in Dade, Florida, USA.1,7 James died on 8 April 1966 in 150 NE 94th Street, Miami Shores, Florida, USA, aged 69 He was a financial secretary of the local 1031 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a member of the Medinah Shrine Temple.1,2 James was buried on 14 April 1966 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, USA, Section 5 Site 453.1,3,8

Matthew was a carpenter and lived in Stainton, Jane lived in Yarm. The ceremony was witnessed by Thomas Wright and Mary Ann Hodgeson.1,3 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Rokeby Hotel, Britannia Street, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Matthew Newton.4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 3 Central Buildings, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, she was listed as the mother in law of Robert Colling.5 Her husband Matthew died on 24 February 1890 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Matthew was a Hotel keeper late of Whitby.6,1 Jane was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 7 Hanover Terrace, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, James was listed as a bankers clerk, his wife and son Cecil was also visiting Louisa's recently widowed mother Jane.7 Jane was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 7 Hanover Terrace, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Jane was living on her own means with her daughter Frances and a servant.8 Jane was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 7 Hanover Terrace, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Jane lived with her daughter Frances and a servant in her ten roomed home. Interestingly someone else signed the page and put the incorrect address Jane had eleven children two of whom had died by 1911.9 Jane died in 1913 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.1,10

Matthew was a carpenter and lived in Stainton, Jane lived in Yarm. The ceremony was witnessed by Thomas Wright and Mary Ann Hodgeson.1,3 Matthew was described as a publican on his daughters marriage certificate.4 Matthew was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Rokeby Hotel, Britannia Street, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, Matthew was a Licensed Victualler living with his wife and family and one servant.5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 3 Central Buildings, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, he was listed as the father in law of Robert Colling Matthew was a retied Innkeeper.6 Matthew died on 24 February 1890 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Matthew was a Hotel keeper late of Whitby.7,1 His estate was probated on 10 April 1890 in York by William Newton a bookseller and brother and Thomas Hall a confectioner both of Whitby. His effects were valued at £7,682 15s 6d.1

     Nicholas Corydon Shattock was born about 1921.1 He was the son of Leonard Shattock and Nancy Greathead.1 Jim and Nicholas both joined the Rhodesian Air Force and both were cadet Pilot Officers. Jim was invalided out of the RRAF when he had a second bout of black water fever.2 Nicholas died on 9 January 1943 His death is recorded on Panel 133 on the Runnymede Memorial. He was a Pilot Officer in Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 44 (Rhodesia) Sqadron No 80461.1,2
