Robert H May

     Robert spent the last part of his life farming in county Wicklow, Ireland. Robert H May was born in England. He married Mary A Campbell. Robert and his brothers were seafaring men and during the last voyage his son Robert was born. Robert died in Ireland in the prime of his life as a result of injuries received from being thrown from a horse.

     Mary A Campbell was born in Ireland but from Scottish descent. She married Robert H May. Mary married a British Officer and went to Australia with her husband and mother.

     Edith Taylor was born on 12 July 1925.1 She married George Cartwright Greathead, son of George Greathead and Annie Purcell, in July 1992 in Methodist Church, Spills Meadow, Upper Gornal, Sedgley, Staffordshire, England.2,3 Edith died on 15 August 1998 in 7 Moden Close, Upper Gornal, Dudley, Staffordshire, England, aged 73.4,5 Edith was buried in August 1998 in Quinton Cemetery, Halesowen Road, Halesowen, Warwickshire, England.6 The will of Edith was proved on 16 October 1998 in Birmingham to George Green and Co and granted to Carole Skupien and Margaret Georgina Spencer.7

     George Cuthbert Emerson was born on 20 March 1893 in Handsworth, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England.1,2,3 He was the son of George Emerson and Frances Sophia Shotter.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 81 Hall Road, Handsworth, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of George Emerson.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 132 Heathfield Road, Handsworth, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of George Emerson George was a mercantile clerk.5 Private George Cuthbert Emerson, 1st South Midland George served in the Field Ambulance (2nd line), Royal Army Medical Corps, Territorial and trained at Witham, Essex in 15 April 1915.6 He married Mabel Goodall in 1917 in Aston, Warwickshire, England.6,7 George died in 1983 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England.8
