     George Thomas Dalton Baker was born on 6 December 1902.1 He was the son of Aaron Baker and Betsey Mary Ann Dalton.1 He married Mabel Louisa Abbott, daughter of William Abbott and Esther Stevens, on 18 May 1921.1 George died on 22 June 1971 aged 68.1

     William Henry Baker was born on 16 October 1898.1 He was the son of Aaron Baker and Betsey Mary Ann Dalton.1 He married Madge Constance Abbott, daughter of William Abbott and Esther Stevens, on 8 November 1922.1 William died on 13 April 1969 aged 70.1 William was buried on 15 April 1969 in Taita Cemetery, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.1

     Stanley Kelsey was born in 1905 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of James Bryce Kelsey and Edith Emily Edmondson.1 An extract in a letter written by Edith's niece Freda Robinson in 1994 states that when Edith's husband James died in 1924 she took to her bed, her three eldest children Stanley, Gordon and Jessie had to take over the household and look after their mother and the three younger children James, Eric and Herbert. She stayed in bed for years and did not get up until the day her sister Jane Elizabeth Millar Robinson was buried in 1933. When she went into Stockton to buy new clothes she found that all the fashions had changed ! She did not return to her bed !2 He married Kate Emily Spence on 29 November 1930 in Guisborough, Yorkshire, England.2,3 Stanley died on 19 December 1965 in 67 Ragpath Lane, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England.2,4 His estate was probated on 17 March 1966 Administration papers were issued to Kate Emily Kelsey his widow. His effects were valued at £950.2

     George Stewart was born about 1845 in Edinburgh, Midloathian, Scotland.1 George was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 44 Industrial Dwellings, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England, The head of the household was listed as George Stewart, a 27 year old seaman from Scotland. Eliza was listed as his wife and given the surname of Stewart. All the children were described as scholars with a surname of Haydon and step children of George. Was this an out of marriage liaison? It would appear that George married Elizabeth the daughter in 1873 and they had a son William shortly after.2 He married Elizabeth Hannah Haydon, daughter of Robert Haydon and Eliza Hazel Greethead, in 1873 in South Shields, Durham, England.3 George was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 April 1881 in Commercial Road, South Shields, Durham, England, George is listed as a Mariner living with his wife and son.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 31 Church Street, Harwich, Essex, England, he was listed as a boarder He is listed as being married and Local Secretary for National Seaman's Union,he seems to be boarding with John and Emily Wicks and their family. John was a fireman on the steam lifeboat.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 2 Abingdon Street, Sunderland, Durham, England, he was listed as a boarder staying with Simeon and Matilda Simpson and their extended family. George is described as a widower working as a ships labourer.6 George died in 1901 in Sunderland, Durham, England, George's son William Stewart inherited the estate from the Stewarts of Edinburgh, Provision Merchants who owned property off Princes Street in Edinburgh, land in Australia and tea plantations in Asia. George (the humble seaman) was one of the two Stewart sons. The business was handled by Messers. Buchan and Buchan, 13 Alva Street, Edinburgh in the mid fifties. William his son never married.7

     Victor Raddick was born about 1859 in Austria Victor was not a British subject.1 He married Harriett Haydon, daughter of Robert Haydon and Eliza Hazel Greethead, in 1882 in South Shields, Durham, England.1,2 Victor was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 164 Hope Street, Jarrow, Durham, England, Victor was a general labourer living with his wife.3 Victor was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 164 Hope Street, Jarrow, Durham, England, Victor was working a sa general labourer and was listed as naturalised.4 His wife Harriett died on 25 April 1901 in 164 Hope Street, Jarrow, Durham, England, from phthisis pulmonalis.5,6 He married Catherine Hohn in 1906 in South Shields, Durham, England.7 Victor was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 11 Russell Street, South Shields, Durham, England, Victor was a labouring marine engineer at the shipyard living with his wife and children in their 4 room home.8 Victor died on 27 July 1925 in Waterhead convalescent home, Waterhead, Brampton, Lancashire, England, from chronic nephritis and vulvular disease of the heart.9,6
