     Thomas was a prolific Victorian nurseryman of Rivers Nursery which was established in 1730 and sold by the family in 1985. His plant breeding and development resulted in the "early rivers" nectarines, plums, cherries, peaches and most famous pear. He also introduced the late Valencia orange into California USA.¹

At present I cannot locate her husband.⁷ She died in 1871 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.⁸

The Minister was George Birch a Curate.^1,4,5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 36 Railway Terrace, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the wife of John Greathead Harriet was a charwoman.⁶ Harriet was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 3 April 1881 in 15 Greens Village, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, M1.⁷ Harriett and her son Samuel were living in Ashley Street were charged with assaulting bailiffs who went to seize goods and met with opposition. The bailiffs were kicked and punched and much of the furniture damaged. He was baptized on 18 October 1837 in Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales.⁴ In the census of 7 June 1841 in Petters Street, Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, he was listed as the son of Samuel Greathead.⁵ In the census of 30 March 1851 at Market Place, Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, he was listed as the son of Samuel Greathead Nicholas was a scholar.⁶ Nicholas emigrated to Canada.³ He married Laura Jack. Nicholas was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 4 April 1881 in St Stephen, Charlotte, New Brunswick, Canada, Nicholas was a R W Accountant living with his wife and five children.⁷ He emigrated in 1885 from Canada the USA.⁸ Nicholas was working in East Oakland as a clerk in 1889 for Freight Auditor's Office S.P.Co.⁹ His wife Laura died on 1895 in San Francisco, California, USA.^8,10 In the census of 1 June 1900 in Alameda, California, USA, he was listed as the father of Robert G Greathead Nicholas was a bookkeeper.¹¹ In the census of 20 April 1910 in Oakland, Almeda, California, USA, he was listed as the boarder of Richard Chamberlain and his wife. He worked as a clerk.¹² Nicholas was listed as the head of the household of on the census of 5 January 1920 in Capay, Yolo, California, USA, he was widowed.¹³

     Richard Methley Greathead was born on 13 September 1842 in Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, Richard was the twin of William George and was born at 9:45 am.^3,4,5 He was the son of Samuel Greathead and Jane Treweek. He was baptized on 16 September 1842 in Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, William was baptised with his brother Richard.⁵ In the census of 30 March 1851 at Market Place, Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, he was listed as the son of Samuel Greathead Richard was a scholar.⁶ He married Maria Cantrill on 18 March 1866 in Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England.^7,3 He died on 3 May 1870 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, aged 27.^8,3,4
