     Susan Howard Bunn was born in 1845 in Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.1 She was the daughter of William Christmas Bunn and Sarah Fuller. In the census of 30 March 1851 at Row 123, Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the daughter of Sarah Bunn.2 In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the servant of William Jacobson the Bishop of Chester. Harriet and Susan were housemaids. Their father died in 1868 so I guess the girls went into service and their mother took in lodgers.3 Susan died in 1881 in Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.4

     Matthew Greathead was baptised on 19 July 1834 in Latimer, Buckinghamshire, England.2 He was the son of William Greathead and Sarah Farnsworth. In the census of 6 June 1841 in Market Place, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of William Greathead.3,4 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Frenchgate, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of William Greathead Matthew was a scholar.5 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Greta Bridge, Rokeby, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the lodger staying with Richard and Mary Dawson. His brother Alfred was also loding at the house. Both were painters.6 He was a journeyman painter in 1862. He married Margaret Copeland, daughter of ... Copeland, in 1861 in York, Yorkshire, England.7,8 Matthew died on 16 April 1864 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England, aged 29.9,1 Matthew was buried in Richmond Cemetery, Reeth, Yorkshire, England, in the South East Section plot 1123. His wife was buried with him later in 1906.10

In the census of 31 March 1901 in 11 Hillfield, Sunderland, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 10 Hillfield Terrace, Sunderland, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead Ralph was a butcher's errand boy.5 Ralph signed on for the duration of the war in May 1915. He gave his address as 10 Hillfield, Ayres Quay, Deptford, Sunderland. He gave his age as 19 years 10 months and his height was 5 feet 6 inches tall. His next of kin ws given as is father of the same address. He served with the 2nd line 3rd Northumberland R Foot and was awarded the British War and Victory medals.6 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 10 Hillfield, Sunderland, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead Ralph was a shipyard platers helper working like his father and brother William for Sir James Laing and Sons Ltd but was out of work.7 He married Mary A Potts by certificate, daughter of Robert Potts and Elizabeth Musgrave, on 13 January 1926 in Sunderland, Durham, England, The marriage was witnesssed by R H Kennedy and FI Urner. Anthony was a deck boy with brown eyes, black hair. fresh complexion and five foot seven inches tall.He was discharged on 11 May 1946 from the ship Vindicatrix.2 He married Nancie Hildreth in 1951 in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England.3 He married Joyce Norah Wyatt in Nairobi, Kenya, Anthony was a policeman in Nairobi when he met Joyce who was doing her nursing training there having travelled from her homeland, Argentina.4 Anthony and Joyce travelled first class with their son Anthony on board the ship Uganda leaving London on 1 January 19060 bound for Beira, Mozanbique. They gave their address in the UK as White Lion Hotel, Barton-on-Humber, Lincolnshire.5 Anthony died on 4 November 2004 in 4 Rosamond Court, Rosamund Drive, Bradway, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, aged 75.6,7 The will of Anthony was proved on 15 December 2004 Leeds to his son Anthony and Rosalind Ann Watchorn.7

Betty left school at 14 to work at home in the farmhouse and three years later, at the age of 17, started work at Roby’s in Lincoln.4 She married Sydney Roy Greathead, son of Sidney George Greathead and Eva Florence Preston, on 27 May 1950 in All Saints, Tealby, Lincolnshire, England, The ceremony was witnesssed by K Howsham and E Greathead. Sidney was a clerk, his father Sidney was a publican and Betty's father a farmer. Betty's death was announced as Beloved wife of the late Roy, mother of the late Paul, loving grandma of Thomas and Lorna and mother in law of Gladys, dear sister and sister in law of Frank and Margaret, dearest Auntie of Frances, Phylis, Anne, Pat, Leonard, Stephen, Derek and Terry and a very dear friend of Betty (Pyttlik). on 17 April 2020 in Grimsby Crematorium, Weelsby Avenue, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.9,4 Her estate was probated on 7 August 2020 at the Principal Registry.10
