Ellen was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 20 April 1910 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA, Ellen had twelve children only seven were alive by 1910.⁵

She died in 1898 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England, Mary Ann was older than her husband Thomas and I guess her true age did not come out until he had died. The 1891 census and on her death GRO index give what I assume is her correct age.⁷
