     Richard Allen was born about 1842 in Lindridge, Worcestershire, England.1 He was the son of John Allen and Amelia Freeman.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Lindridge, Worcestershire, England, he was listed as the son of John Allen Richard was a scholar.2 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Little Broom, Lindridge, Worcestershire, England, he was listed as the lodger of James Weaver a wheelwright. Brothers William and Richard were both agricultural labourers.3

Jacob Sermon1

     Jacob Sermon was born about 1807 in Yardley, Warwickshire, England.1 He married Catherine ...1 Jacob was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 June 1841 in Yardley, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, Jacob was a gardener living with his wife and children.2 Jacob was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Clump Cottages, Warwick Road, Yardley, Warwickshire, England, Jacob as an agricutural labourer living with his children. Interestingly there are several Greathead's living in the other cottages in the road. Catherine later married George Greathead.3 Jacob was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Warwick Road, Yardley, Warwickshire, England, Jacob was a gardener living with his daughter and grandson. He has a boarder George Greathead who later married his daughter.4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Common Villa, Ecclesfield, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the father of Thomas Sermon Jacob was described as lame.5

The ceremony was witnessed by Thomas Sermon aand Mary Ann Hood. George ws a porter.3 George died in 1881 in Solihull, Warwickshire, England.4,5
