In the census of 7 April 1861 in 7 Skinner Street, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of George Robert R Graham.2 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 7 Skinner Street, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of George Robert R Graham.3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Hartburn Cottage, East Hartburn, Durham, England, she was listed as the sister of William E Graham.4 She married William Thompson, son of Thomas Walter Thompson, on 24 June 1882 in St Peters Church, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, by licence. He married Sarah Greathead, daughter of William Greathead and Anne ..., on 26 February 1838 in St Peter and St Pauls Church, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by William Whitehouse who signed with his mark and Mary Farmer. Both William and Sarah signed with their mark. William was a labourer like his father and gave his address as 19 High Street Deritend. Sarah gave her address as 7 High Street Deritend. Her father William was a blacksmith.1 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Tanworth, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the son in law of William Greathead.2 William was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Tanworth, Warwickshire, England, William worked as an agricultural labourer and lived with his wife and children. His father in law was described as a pauper blacksmith and was living with them.3

In the census of 3 April 1881 in The Friarage, Yarm, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the servant and kitchen maid to Margaret Spencer who was a clergymans widow and aged 70. The household consisted of Frances Watson who was listed as a companion, Lydia Watson who may have been her sister and was listed as a governess. There was also Christiana Bruce who was the cook, Mabel Neish the dairymaid, Sarah Gardner the housemaid, George Walker the footman and Barker Young the groom. Ada's family lived in West Hartlepool.5 She married George William Greathead, son of William Greathead and Elizabeth Dodsworth, on 16 April 1887 in St Paul's Church, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, One of the witnesses at the ceremony was Frederick Richard Spencerlayh.6,7,3

In the census of 5 April 1891 in Catterick, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the grandson of Ann Greathead.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Catterick, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the nephew of John Joseph Greathead
Arthur was an agricultual labourer.6 He married Ada Metcalfe, daughter of John Metcalfe, on 25 August 1906 in The Chapel of St Paulinus Brough Hall, Brough, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, Note father declared as John - grandfather. Arthur did not know who his father was.2,7

In the census of 5 April 1891 in Fell Digger Farm, Marske, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Francis Greathead.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Keld House Farm, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Francis Greathead Thomas was enumerated as James Thomas who was employed as a farmer. Florence Easby a niece aged 22 was employed as a servant to the household.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Keld House Farm, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Francis Greathead Thomas was a farmer living with his wife and children who worked on the farm and lived in their ten roomed home.      Maureen Elizabeth Gorse was born on 24 January 1947 in Durham, England, Maureen's mother's maiden name was Clarke.2,3 She married Walter Greathead, son of James Walter Greathead and Margaret Troup, on 24 July 1965 in Durham, England.1,4,5 She died on 1 June 2005 in Southam, Warwickshire, England, aged 58 at home and her death was declared to be from pneumonia after a post mortem.6,1 The will of Maureen was proved on 20 October 2005 Probate was granted to her husband Walter in Birmingham.7
