She had previously attended the infants school. The family lived in Overton. There appears to be a second date in pencil of 7 September 1908. Maud certainly recovered so maybe was readmitted then.⁵ In the census of 2 April 1911 in Bridge Street, Overton, Hampshire, England, she was listed as the niece of John Aslett Gladys was at school.⁶ She married William Albert Hendy in 1924 in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England.⁷ On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Gladys was listed as living at 24 Church Road, Kingsclere, Hampshire, England, with her husband William.
