He married Elsie E Blackett in 1945 in Durham, England.2 His father Arthur Greathead died on 12 July 1953.3,4 Alice together with her son Arthur received Probate on her husbands effects on 18 November 1953 in York. Arthur was a local government officer.4 The will of Arthur was proved on 10 November 1969 in Leeds. His effects were valued at £4767.4 He died on 10 November 1969 in 11 Church View, Bishopton, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, aged 57.5,4 He was buried in Bishopton, Durham, England.6
