He married Marine Howard in 1965.2 He married Carol A Rhodes in 1972.3 He died on 9 June 2001 in 28 Abbeyfield Road, Dunscroft, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, aged 58.4,5 He did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 18 September 2006 in Manchester to his daughter Karen who lived with him.5

Arthur was a local government officer.4 The will of Arthur was proved on 10 November 1969 in Leeds. His effects were valued at £4767.4 He died on 10 November 1969 in 11 Church View, Bishopton, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, aged 57.5,4 He was buried in Bishopton, Durham, England.6

In the census of 31 March 1901 in High Street, Overton, Hampshire, England, he was listed as the son of John George Greathead.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 211 Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, he was listed as a boarder with Archibald and Lily Clark and his family in their five roomed home. John was a fitters labourer for the railway company, Archibald was an engine fitter for the railway company.5 He died in 1972 in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.6
