     Herbert Percy Greathead was born in 1901 in Stockton on Tees, Durham, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Greathead and Annie Wilkinson. He married Ellen Quigley in 1943 in Durham, England.3 His mother Annie Wilkinson died on 18 August 1947.4,5 Herbert received Probate on his mother's effects on 30 September 1947 in Durham. He was a patternmaker.5 His wife Ellen died on 3 March 1948 in 22 Burgess Street, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England.1,6,5 Herbert received administration in Durham. He was a wood patternmaker.5 He married Ethel Smailes in 1948 in Durham, England.7 His wife Ethel died on 1956 in Durham, England.8 He died on 2 December 1964 in Portrack Hospital, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, lived at 22 Burgess Street, Stockton on Tees since at least 1944 (see parents death certificate).9,5 The will of Herbert was proved on 11 January 1965 in Durham to Frederick William Beston Pacey a solicitor. His effects were valued at £1339.5

Frederick was in the RAF during WW2 and looked very smart in his uniform.2 He married Joan M B Botten in 1940 in Dartford, Kent, England, Frederick's niece Peggy, Lilian and Arthur's daughter was one of their bridesmaids.3,2 He died in January 1986 in Chatham, Kent, England, aged 69.4
