In the census of 2 April 1871 in 44 Bricklin Street, Dudley, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Tunley.3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 1 Jackaroo, Court 3, Brierley Hill, Sedgeley, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of Rebecca Tunley George was a scholar.4 He married Elizabeth Morris on 29 October 1893 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, George was an ironworker.1,5 George and Elizabeth were living at 11 Little Cottage Street, Brierley Hill, Staffordshire when they heard of the death of their son Albert on 18 August 1917 while fighting in Belgium with the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment.6 He died in 1918 in Brierley Hill, Sedgeley, Staffordshire, England.1
