Alice Dorothy Evans was born in July 1895 in Lewes, Sussex, England.2,3 She was the daughter of Edward Evans.1 She married Oswald Greathead, son of Edward Greathead and Annie Green, in 1920 in Burnley, Lancashire, England.4 Alice and her two small sons, George was only six months old left Southampton on 16 December 1923 aboard SS Minnedosa of the Canadian Pacific line. The Master was J Sibbons and the ship carried 212 passengers. They left the ship at the port of Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada. Osward, Alice's husband had preceded them in June that year.5 She died on 9 January 1927 in Lady Minto Hospital, Cochrane, Ontario, Canada, aged 31 from occlusions of barrata from construction bands due to a previous operation. Alice's death certificate states she had been in Canada for 4 1/2 years.6 She was buried on 11 January 1927 in Cochrane, Ontario, Canada.6
