John Leslie Tunley was born on 20 December 1908 in Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.2,3 He was the son of William Baker Tunley and Florence Mary Carter.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 in The Manse, Broxton, Chester, Cheshire, England, he was listed as the son of William Baker Tunley.4 He married Margaret Paterson in September 1937.1,2 John was described as an John Leslie Tunley a chemist and optician when he received probate with his Mother on his father's will on 18 August 1939.5 He died on 26 May 1965 in Wirral, Cheshire, England, aged 56.2,6
