Claud was described as a widower and Company Secretary and livig at 201 Harefield Road, Uxbridge. Julia was a spinster living at 48 Cowley Road, Oxford. It is understood that Julia was Claud's housekeeper prior to their wedding.7,1 He died on 31 October 1950 in 201 Herefield Road, Uxbridge, London, England, aged 67.8,1,9 Administration papers were issued with a will on 16 July 1985 in Oxford. His effects were valued at £2,900. I guess there may have been some problems with his estate as it proved in Oxford thirty five years after his death. Amazing!9 Claud is remembered as a quiet reticent man, said to have made many losses with his love of gambling. He retired to Weston on the Green, Oxfordshire, into lodgings with the Post Mistress. He was said to have a split personality. He appears to have moved to Uxbridge with his wife before he died.1
