He was baptised on 8 May 1881 in St Peter and St Paul, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, his father was an engraver and the family lived in Cuthbert Bouce.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 13 Cuthbert Road, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Francis Rice Greathead Frank was a scholar.5 He married Hannah Blake, daughter of George Blake and Mary Ann Gott, on 6 May 1899 in St John the Baptist, Owlerton, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by John Lewis Greathead and Mary Ann Maunder.1,6 Frank was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 at 4 Cleveland Place, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.7 Frank was living with his parents Frank and Annie at 63 Fairfield Road when he was admitted as a student to Neepsend Senior Mixed Council School on 26 September 1907. He left on 22 August 1909 because his family left the district.8,9 Frank was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 28 Walkley Lane, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, Frank was a employed as a puller cut and steel melting worker at the Crucible living with his wife and four children in their five roomed home.10 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Frank was listed as living at 28 Walkley Lane, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England with his wife Hannah. Frank was a Forge presse Furniture.11 Frank died in 1947 in 28 Walklley Lane, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, It is believed that Frank committed suicide.1,12,13 Frank was buried on 23 April 1947 in St Mary, Walkley, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.14

His mother was listed as Mary.6 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 4 Cleveland Place, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Frank Greathead Frank was a labourer at the steel works.7 Frank was living with his parents Frank and Annie at 63 Fairfield Road when he was admitted as a student to Neepsend Senior Mixed Council School on 26 September 1907. He was baptised on 13 April 1904 in St Philips, Shalesmoor, Yorkshire, his father was a furnace man and the family lived at 9 Robert Street.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 28 Walkley Lane, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Frank Greathead.5 He married Constance Olgar Clark, daughter of Wilfred Clark and Dorothy Ramsden, in 1925 in Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.1,6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Ernest was listed as living at 28 Wardlow Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England with his wife Constance. Ernest was a railway locomotive fireman.3 His wife Constance died on 1965 in Royal Hospital, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.7 Ernest died on 18 April 1968 in Nether Edge Hospital, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, aged 64 his usual address was 28 Wardlow Road, he was an engine driver.8,9,10 Ernest was buried on 24 April 1968 in Intake Cemetery, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, in the general ground, Grave number A11627, Section A.10 Ernest did not leave a will.
