In the census of 5 April 1891 in 11 Hanover Place, Marylebone, London, England, he was listed as the son of Samuel Banthorp.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 30 Park Rd, St Marylebone, London, England, he was listed as the son of Samuel Banthorp.6 He witnessed the marriage of William Henry Banthorp and Amelia Hannah Baker on 2 September 1911 in St Johns Church, Kensal Green, London, England.1,7,8,9 He married Madge Herd in April 1915 in St Marylebone, London, England.7,10 Ernest joined the Army in June 1915, sailed for France 5 July 1915.11 He died on 2 June 1927 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, aged 39.7,8,12 He was buried in New Willesden Cemetery, Number R112, Willesden, London, England.7

     Sally Theaker married John Thomas Verrill, son of John Thomas Verrill and Mary Jane Verrill. John and Sally had no children, they brought up Sally's niece Miss Kathleen Turnbull who was a school teacher.1

     Hilda Verrill was born in 1896. She was the daughter of John Thomas Verrill and Mary Jane Verrill. In the census of 31 March 1901 in High Street, Hindswell, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of John Thomas Verrill.1 She died on 27 January 1973.2

     Robert Patton was born in 1888 in Runswick, Yorkshire, England. He died on 7 February 1934 at sea, he was crushed by falling between a lifeboat and boat.1

     John Hill was born in 1913. He was the son of Benjamin Hill and Sarah Ann Verrill. He died by drowning in the River Humber in 1917.1
