     Claud Worville Greathead was born on 19 February 1919 in 58 Orange Street, Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa, His birth was registered at Cape Town on 4 March 1919.1,2 He was the son of Harold Worville Greathead and Marie Johanna Eksteen. He was baptised on 30 March 1919 in Nederdnitsche Gereformeerde Kirk, Three Anchor Bay, Cape Town, South Africa, by A M McGregor, Priest.1,2 He was On active service in the middle East until 4 Sep 1942, worked p/t for old regimental association.2 He married Maurine Doris Viljoen in 1947.1 Arrived in England in January 1948 with wife, met on Waterloo Station by cousin Ailsa Adams and Aunt Bessie. Holy bible given to Elizabeth Sophia Worville on her marriage to Eugene Charles Greathead

     Arthur Thurston Adams was born about 1911.1 He married Ailsa Mary McMurray, daughter of William Henry McMurray and Constance Annie Greathead, on 14 September 1946 in St Paul Parish Church, Beckenham, Kent, England, after the banns had been read. Ailsa was aged 22, Arthur aged 35 The ceremony was performed by Edward P Laycock (Vicar) and witnessed by Uncle Claud Ernest Greathead and P R Hayles. Ailsa was given away by her Uncle Claud. Arthur lived at 3a Longton Avenue, Sydenham, London and Ailsa lived at 48a Foxgrove Road, Beckenham.1 He was a bank cashier and lived at Pebble Ridge, East Hill, Otford, Kent in 1952. He died on 15 October 1993 in William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent, England, Arthur was a retired company secretary.1 His body was cremated on 2 November 1993 in Charing Crematorium, Sevenoaks, Kent, England.1 He was buried on 2 November 1993 in Chevening Church, Chevening, Kent, England.1
