Chart 1: My direct family - Edward Greathead
     Elizabeth Wood was born about 1874 in West Hartlepool, Durham, England.1 She was the daughter of William Greathead and Isabel Woodward. She married James Kenny, son of Simon Kenny and Elizabeth ..., in 1892 in South Shields, Durham, England.2 Elizabeth was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 17 Tennant Street, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, Elizabeth's husband James was staying with his mother in Framwellgate, he had their daughter Elizabeth with him. She had the other two children, Julia and Henry with her.3 Her mother Isabel Greathead died on 18 April 1915 Elizabeth registered the authorities of her death and gave her address as 3 Alfred Street, West Hartlepool.4

Chart 1: My direct family - Edward Greathead
     James Kenny was born about 1875 in Houghall, Durham, England.1 He was the son of Simon Kenny and Elizabeth .... In the census of 3 April 1881 in 3 Boat House Cottages, Framwellgate, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Simon Kenny he was a scholar.2 He married Elizabeth Wood, daughter of William Greathead and Isabel Woodward, in 1892 in South Shields, Durham, England.3 James was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 76 Framwellgate, Framwellgate, Durham, England, James was staying with his mother although he was listed as head of household. He had his three year old daughter with him. His wife remained at home with the other two children.4

     Walter Edward Kelbe married B B .... In 1935 Molly was living with her father in Elderot, Kenya while he was acting as a locum for a doctor on leave. The house was up the hill, below St Matthews Church. On 25 April that year Leslie Mounsley, a friend of the family whose father had a farm out Lessos way, came to visit them and introduced the managerof the Kenya Cooperative Creamery (KCC) which had recently been opened. Leslie was an assistant at the factory. It was that day that Molly first met Ken.2

     Norman Hugh Goldhawk Huntly was the son of Hugh Campbell Huntly and Maria Louisa Pohl.1 He married Myrtle Holmes Myrtle was previously the governess for Ken, Phyllis and Helen Greathead Norman's nieces and nephew before she married him.1

Ethel Huntley
     Ethel Huntly was the daughter of Hugh Campbell Huntly and Maria Louisa Pohl.1 Her sister Helen travelled to be with her in Kenya in 1931 and sadly died three weeks after she arrived.1

     Myrtle Holmes married Norman Hugh Goldhawk Huntly, son of Hugh Campbell Huntly and Maria Louisa Pohl, Myrtle was previously the governess for Ken, Phyllis and Helen Greathead Norman's nieces and nephew before she married him.1
