Charles address was Pond Dale.7 Charles was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 April 1861 in Dinsdale Retreat Asylum, Dinsdale, Durham, England, Charles was listed as CG a married farmer aged 68 with 23 male and 14 female patients.8 Charles was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Dinsdale Retreat Asylum, Dinsdale, Durham, England, Charles is listed as CG, a farmer from Brompton on Swale and sadly a lunatic.9 He died on 28 October 1873 in Dinsdale Park, Middleton-one-row, Darlington, Durham, England, Charles formally lived at Pond Dale in the Parish of Gilling.10,2,11,7 Charles was buried in St Peter and St Felix, Kirby Hill, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.12
The will of Charles was proved on 25 November 1873 at the Principal Registry by his son John Greathead of Downholme. Both John and his father were farmers. Charles effects were valued at under £3,000 and then resworn in February 1874 as under £4,000.13

Mary Ann Cory was born on 22 July 1855 in Aylsham, Norfolk, England.1,2 Mary aged 6 was baptised on 20 October 1861 with her brothers James and John.2 She married John Thomas Pull, son of Thomas Pull and Frances Kemp, on 28 October 1871 in St Thomas, Collierley, Lanchester, Durham, England, the ceremony was wtnessed by Susanna Jane Cory and Thomas Cory. Both bride and groom signed with a X. John ws a miner living at Happyland in Durham.3,2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Dunkirk, Aylsham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of John Thomas Pull.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Dunkirk, Aylsham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of John Thomas Pull.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Dunkirk, Aylsham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of John Thomas Pull.6 John was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 Dunkirk, Aylsham, Norfolk, England, John a labourer was living with his wife in their four roomed home. They had eleven children, five of whom had died before 1911. I believe John was the fifth child, but I can find no death record for him.7
