Mary had no occupation and her age was given as 30 years of age. Presumably this was an error on the part of Elizabeth or the enumerator.3

Hannah Mary Allinson was born about 1894.3 She was the daughter of Richard Allinson.2 She married Henry Kemp Stewart, son of William Ferrier Stewart and Marion Strafford, on 30 January 1917 in St George's Congregation Church. Park Road, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, The ceremony was witnessed by his brother Frederick, Richard Allinson and Elizabeth Killan and took place after a licence was issued. Henry gave his address as 50 Eamont Gardens, West Hartlepool and Hannah as 28 Gainsford Street, West Hartlepool. Henry described himself a a shipping clerk.1,4 Henry was listed on the electoral roll in 1919 at 84 Colwyn Road, West Hartlepool. Hannah was not on the list, she was under 30 so although women got the vote in 1918 it was nt until 1928 that the voting age was reduced to 21.1 The birth announcement in the newspaper read Stewart - On 18 February at 84 Colwyn Road to Mr and Mrs H K Stewart a daughter (premature birth).1 Her husband Henry died on 3 April 1923 in 50 Portrack Lane, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, from chronic malaria and cachexia. He was recorded as a shipping clerk by his brother Norman who registered his death. Norman gave his address as 7 Bede Grove, West Hartlepool.5,1 Hannah lived alone in 14 Derby Street from 1934 to 1946 when her brother John moved in. They stayed there until her death.1 She died on 15 March 1953 in Brierton Hospital, Stranton, Durham, England, Her obituary stated she was the beloved wife of the late Harry Stewart.1 She was buried on 17 March 1953 in Stranton Church, Stranton, Durham, England, The Cortege left 14 Derby Street at 1:50pm for the church.1
