Elizabeth Lyall Ferrier was baptized on 7 August 1826 in Frockheim, Angus, Scotland.2,3 She was the daughter of William Ferrier and Elspeth Gibb.1 She married Alexander Stewart on 25 February 1848 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland.1,4 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 43 Millgate Street, Kirkden, Angus, Scotland, she was listed as the wife of Alexander Stewart.5 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Delles Land, Liff, Dundee, Angus, Scotland, she was listed as the wife of Alexander Stewart.6 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 29 Cotton Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, she was listed as the wife of Alexander Stewart.7 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 8 Benvie Road, Benvie, Dundee, Angus, Scotland, she was listed as the wife of Alexander Stewart.8 Elizabeth was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in 41 Lockland Street, Arbroath, Angus, Scotland, Elizabeth and Euphemia are living together. Euphemia is described as an imbecile aged 48 while Elizabeth a widowed shopkeeper.9 Elizabeth was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Kenlock Street, Lower Victoria, Barry, Angus, Scotland, Elizabeth and Euphemia were living together, both are described as Annuitants. Euphemia's age is incorrectly recorded as age 68, she is still described as an imbecile.10 She died on 5 September 1903 in Carnoustie, Angus, Scotland, aged 77.1

Hannah Mary Allinson was born about 1894.3 She was the daughter of Richard Allinson.2 She married Henry Kemp Stewart, son of William Ferrier Stewart and Marion Strafford, on 30 January 1917 in St George's Congregation Church. Park Road, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, The ceremony was witnessed by his brother Frederick, Richard Allinson and Elizabeth Killan and took place after a licene was issued. Henry gave his address as 50 Eamont Gardens, West Hartlepool and Hannah as 28 Gainsford Street, West Hartlepool. Henry described himself a a shipping clerk.1,4 Henry was listed on the electoral roll in 1919 at 84 Colwyn Road, West Hartlepool. Hannah was not on the list, she was under 30 so although women got the vote in 1918 it was nt until 1928 that the voting age was reduced to 21.1 The birth announcement in the newspaper read Stewart - On 18 February at 84 Colwyn Road to Mr and Mrs H K Stewart a daughter (premature birth).1 Her husband Henry died on 3 April 1923 in 50 Portrack Lane, Stockton on Tees, Durham, England, from chronic malaria and cachexia. He was recorded as a shipping clerk by his brother Norman who registered his death. Norman gave his address as 7 Bede Grove, West Hartlepool.5,1 Hannah lived alone in 14 Derby Street from 1934 to 1946 when her brother John moved in. They stayed there until her death.1 She died on 15 March 1953 in Brierton Hospital, Stranton, Durham, England, Her obituary stated she was the beloved wife of the late Harry Stewart.1 She was buried on 17 March 1953 in Stranton Church, Stranton, Durham, England, The Cortege left 14 Derby Street at 1:50pm for the church.1
