     Charlie Ramsden was born about 1933.1 He married Kathleen Greathead, daughter of William Henry Greathead and Elizabeth Gibbon, in 1954 in Sunderland, Durham, England.2 He died on 8 July 2009 in St Benedict's Hospice, Sunderland, Durham, England, after a long illness. Charlie and Kathleen had three children Robert, Colin and Richard. Their spiuses were Janet, Sharon and Suzanne and their children were Robert, Claire and Lee Colin, Adam, Lauren and Ryan.3 His body was cremated on 15 July 2009 in Sunderland Crematorium, Sunderland, Durham, England.3

He was baptised on 11 February 1885 in Stowell Memorial, Salford, Lancashire, England, by C Heaton. Percy lived with his parents John and Elizabeth Ann in 48 Thurlow Street, John was a salesman.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 44 Thurlow Street, Salford, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead Percy was a scholar.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 16 Peter Street, Salford, Manchester, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead The brothers John and Percy both worked as clerks in the dock office.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 90 St Stephen Street, Salford, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead Percy was an insurance clerk.6 He married Helena Patterson, daughter of Edward Patterson, on 24 July 1912 in St Stephen, Salford, Lancashire, England, after banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by George Millington and Fanny Boam. Percty was an insurance clerk and he gave his address as 90 St Stephen Street while Helena was at 28 St Stephen Street.7,8,9 He received Probate of his will in Manchester. Percy was a draper.10 His brother John Greathead died on 25 December 1952.12,10 Percy received Administration with the will on her estate on 24 February 1953 in Manchester. He was a retired draper.10 He died on 23 February 1964 in 1 Shepherds Cottage, Beer, Nr Seaton, Devon, England.13,10 The will of Percy was proved on 17 April 1964 in Manchester to Helena his widow. His effects were valued at £6762.10

     Helena Patterson was born on 13 December 1885.2 She was the daughter of Edward Patterson.1 She married Percy Cassledon Greathead, son of John Greathead and Elizabeth Ann Mary Bradley, on 24 July 1912 in St Stephen, Salford, Lancashire, England, after banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by George Millington and Fanny Boam. Percty was an insurance clerk and he gave his address as 90 St Stephen Street while Helena was at 28 St Stephen Street.3,4,5 Her son John Eric Greathead died on 27 April 1939.6 They received Administration on his effects in Manchester on 24 January 1940. Percy was a draper.6 Her husband Percy died on 23 February 1964 in 1 Shepherds Cottage, Beer, Nr Seaton, Devon, England.7,6 She died on 25 November 1972 in Brockhill Hall, Station Road, Broadclyst, Devon, England, aged 86.8,9 The will of Helena was proved on 24 January 1973 in Bristol. Her effects were valued at £16,285.9

He died on 27 April 1939 in Bombay, India, John's usual address was 378 Great Cheetham Street, East Manchester.2 He did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 24 January 1940 in Manchester to John's parents Percy Casseldon Greathead a draper and his wife Helena Greathead. His effects were valued at £484 15s 10d.2
