     Elizabeth Walton was born on 14 January 1875.2 She married George William Greathead, son of Henry Greathead and Mary Thackeray, in 1907 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.3 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 1 Cleveland Terrace, Northallerton, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of George William Greathead.4 In the census of 19 June 1921 in Clevland Terrace, Northallerton, Yorkshre, England, she was listed as the wife of George William Greathead.5 Elizabeth's husband died on 15 February 1933 in Rutson Hospital, Northallerton. She received Probate on his estate in London on 17 March 1933. They lived at Alston House, Quacker Lane, Northallerton, Yorkshire.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Elizabeth was listed as living at 1 Primrose Terrace, Northallerton, Yorkshire, England, with her son William.7 Elizabeth died in 1949 in Northallerton, Yorkshire, England.8

     Charlotte Wright was born in 1826 in South Africa.2 She was the daughter of William Wright and Rosa Stratford. She married John Edwin Wood, son of George Wood and Susan Garbett, they had no children.2 Charlotte died on 1 October 1892 in South Africa.1

John Edwin Wood1

     John Edwin Wood was the son of George Wood and Susan Garbett. He married Charlotte Wright, daughter of William Wright and Rosa Stratford, they had no children.2 He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Albany 1864 and 1887, 2nd Mayor of Grahamstown.1 John died on 18 July 1901 His death appeared in the London Gazette. His letters of administration with the will and a codicil annexed was granted by the Principal Registry of the Probate Division of His Majestv's High Court of Justice on the 15 day of August to Arthur John Bowen, the lawful attorney of Henry Richard Wood.1,3

     Emily Wright was born about 1830.2 She was the daughter of William Wright and Rosa Stratford. She married William Wood, son of George Wood and Susan Garbett, This was Emily's first marriage.1 She married Joseph Gadd, son of Sampson Gadd and Elizabeth Lucy ..., This was Emilys second marriage.1 She died on 31 October 1894 in West Hill, Grahamstown, Cape Town, South Africa, Joseph and Emily were murdered by a servant of 3 days in their house at corner of Durban Street, Grahamstown.1,3,2

     Joseph Gadd was born about 1834.2 He was the son of Sampson Gadd and Elizabeth Lucy ...2 He married Emily Wood, daughter of William Wright and Rosa Stratford, This was Emilys second marriage.1 His wife Emily died on 31 October 1894 in West Hill, Grahamstown, Cape Town, South Africa, Joseph and Emily were murdered by a servant of 3 days in their house at corner of Durban Street, Grahamstown.1,3,4 He died on 4 November 1894 in West Hill, Grahamstown, Cape Town, South Africa, Joseph and Emily were murdered by a servant of 3 days in their house at corner of Durban Street, Grahamstown. Joseph did not leave a will or property. His estate was valued at less than 40,000. His son Harold was the Executor.1,3

Benjamin Wright1

     Benjamin Wright was born on 9 December 1769 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,2 He was the son of John Wright and Abigail Smithson. He was a grocer and chandler.1 Mr Bolton, a well to do old widower fearing he was about to die, married his 15 year old daughter Julia to a man in whom he had confidence, William/Benjamin Wright of Dublin, a Quaker Benjamin Wright married Julia Bolton, daughter of William Bolton and Mary Lyndon, in 1792 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,2 It is believed from information found in directories by Dr David Greathead that Benjamin changed his name to William around 1801.1 Benjamin died on 9 September 1801 aged 31 It is believed William Benjamin died while visiting one of his brothers in America.1

Julia Bolton1

     Julia Bolton was born in 1779 in Ireland.1,2 She was the daughter of William Bolton and Mary Lyndon. Mr Bolton, a well to do old widower fearing he was about to die, married his 15 year old daughter Julia to a man in whom he had confidence, William/Benjamin Wright of Dublin, a Quaker Julia Bolton married Benjamin Wright, son of John Wright and Abigail Smithson, in 1792 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,2 Her husband Benjamin died on 9 September 1801 aged 31 It is believed William Benjamin died while visiting one of his brothers in America.1 She married Edward Turvey This was Julia's second marriage. Edward was a linen draper and made a trust upon their marriage to look after Julia's children by her first marriage being, William, Benjamin, Abigail and John and any children that they may have together.1 Edward and Julia went on to have six children born between 1806 and 1814. John, Mary who married George Nelson and had two children. After he died she married David Arnot and had further five children. Eliza who married Thomas Bradfield and had five children. Edward who married Sophia Daniel and had nine children. Louisa who married Edmund Bradfield and had three children and George.1 In 1819 Edward and Julia, living in London at 23 Southampton Street, Strand decide to emigrate to the Cape.1 Julia died on 1 December 1837 in Grahamstown, Cape Town, South Africa.1

Robert White1

     Robert White was born in 1819 in Shoreditch, London, England.2 Robert went to South Africa in 1838 to join his uncle Robert Godlonton in Grahamstown.2 Robert was the Editor of the Grahamstown Journal.2 He married Abigail Wright, daughter of Benjamin Wright and Ellen Bradfield, about 1846.2,1 Robert made his fortune, he and Abigail brought the family back to the UK in 1883.2 His wife Abigail died on 1890 in Manor House Aylum, Chiswick, London, England, which was a private lunatic asylum.2,3 Robert was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 26 Marine Parade, Brighton, Sussex, England, Robert was living on his own means a retired man. His daughters Abigail and Jessie and grandaughter Jessie M aged 10 were living with him. He was described as married so he did not tell the enumerator his wife had died!4 Robert died in 1894 in Brighton, Sussex, England.2,5
