     Edward Brown was born in 1854 in Weardale, Durham, England.1,2 He was the son of Edward Brown and Mary Wilson.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Belly Hall, Crook, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Edward Brown Edward was a scholar.3 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Stanley Cottages, Crook, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Edward Brown Edward was a pupil teacher.4 The will of Edward Brown was proved by Edward Brown his son on 25 May 1909 in Durham by James and his brother Edward Brown who were railway clerks and Thomas Young a gentleman their brother in law, husband to their sister Isabella.5

George was listed as a printers cutter and Lillian as married. Archibald William Greaves, a clerk, was living with them. Archibald had appeared on another 1925 roll and later in 1936 as living at Mary Street, Como.3 By George and Grace appeared on 1936 Australian electoral lists as living in 37 Brandon Street, South Perth.
