     Belander Turmaine was baptised on 16 March 1803 in St John, Margate, Kent, England.1,2 She was born on 16 March 1803.1 She was the daughter of John Turmaine and Isabella Elizabeth Gill.1 She married John Marsh Carey, son of James Carey and Susanna Turmaine, on 22 April 1822 in St Margaret, Rochester, Kent, England.1 Belander was buried on 31 January 1836 in Tottenham, London, England.1 She died on 31 January 1836 aged 32 She died twelve days after her last child was born.1

     Mary Rowland Turmaine was born on 19 June 1801.1 She was the daughter of John Turmaine and Isabella Elizabeth Gill.1 She was baptised on 8 September 1801 in St John the Baptist, Margate, Kent, England.1 She married James Fox on 23 July 1822 in Chalk, Kent, England, Their were no known children from this marriage.1 Her husband James died on 1849 in Blean, Kent, England.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in French Protestant Hospital, Victoria Park Road, Hackney, London, England, she was listed as a patient.3,1 Mary died on 18 September 1881 aged 80.1 Mary was buried in 1881 in Ilford, Essex, England.1

He married Mary Cooper on 10 November 1772 in St Peter's, Canterbury, Kent, England.3 He was baptised on 11 November 1772 in Walloon Hugenot Church, Canterbury, Kent, England.3 His wife Mary died on 3 January 1830 in North Lane, Canterbury, Kent, England, aged 79.1,4 He died on 15 December 1839 in Bridge, Kent, England, aged 89 William was a silkweaver and died from general decay.5

     Edward William Turmaine was born about 1772.1 He was the son of Edward Guillaume Turmaine and Sarah Holness. He married Mary Ann Crow on 5 November 1792 in St Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent, England.1 His wife Mary died on 3 September 1813 in St Peter's, Kent, England.1,2 He married Elizabeth Gilham on 17 June 1818 in Hackington, Kent, England, Edward was listed as a widower when he married Elizabeth. There are no known children from this marriage.1,3 He died on 6 December 1825 in Canterbury, Kent, England, Edward was listed as being a Porter Merchant before his death.4 Edward was buried on 11 December 1825 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1

     Sarah Austen was born about 1790.1 She married Noah Turmaine, son of Edward Guillaume Turmaine and Sarah Holness, Sarah is Noah's second wife, he was a carpenter.1 Sarah was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in St Peter's Lane, Canterbury, Kent, England, Sarah was the estranged wife of Noah who was later died in the workhouse.2,1 Her husband Noah died on 16 September 1849 in Canterbury Workhouse, Canterbury, Kent, England, aged 72 He died from ulcers.3,4,1 Sarah was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at St Peter's Lane, Canterbury, Kent, England, She had a lodger called Richard Mathis.1,5 Sarah died in 1862.6

Ann was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, Kent, England, Ann was a charwoman and had her two grandsons Charles and William staying with her. Their father had only just remarried.3 Ann was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, Kent, England, Ann was receiving Parochial aid and had her grandson William living with her.4 Ann died in 1851 in Canterbury, Kent, England.5
