     Winifred E Amies was born on 20 February 1904.2,1 She married William Hector Turmaine, son of William John Turmaine and Emma Leagas, in 1943 in Hackney, London, England, Winfred's surname was either Amies or Trueman.1 She died in July 2001 in Hastings, Sussex, England, aged 97.1

     Edward Turmaine was born on 13 December 1797 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Edward William Turmaine and Mary Ann Crow.1 Edward was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 June 1841 in 30 Burgate Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, Edward was a Porter Merchant and can be found in Pigots 1840 Directory for Kent as an Ale and Cider Merchant. He was also a Fire and Office Agent for Globe.2

     Ernest Stephen Edward Turmaine was born on 29 October 1910 in Dover, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Ernest Edward Turmaine and Ethel Eliza Stroud. He married Ivy Dorothy Bayly in 1934 in Dover, Kent, England.1 His wife Ivy died on 28 September 1967 in Dover, Kent, England, aged 56 Ivy died from uraemia.1 He died on 29 June 1985 in Dover, Kent, England, aged 74 Ernest died from a right hemisphere stroke. His occupation was described as a retired steward in the merchant navy.1
