     Elizabeth Suchard was born about 1785 in Rochester, Kent, England.2 She married William Turmaine, son of Edward Guillaume Turmaine and Sarah Holness, on 11 January 1819 in Cuxton, Kent, England.1 Her husband William died on 5 October 1840 in London, England, William was an ostler and died from inflammation of the lungs.1,3 Elizabeth was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Upper Salisbury Street, Marylebone, London, England, Elizabeth was a widow living with her son Henry and described as a seamstress.4 She died in 1858 in Newington, London, England.5,6

     Adelaide Mary Turmaine was born in 1872 in Canterbury, Kent, England, Adelaide was registered as Turmine.2,3 She was the daughter of Charles Turmaine and Adelaide Mary Fowler.1 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 5 Dover Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, she was listed as the daughter of Charles Turmaine.4,1 She emigrated with Charles Turmaine and Kate Turmaine on 25 August 1883 on the immigrant ship "Cape Clear" arriving in Hobart, Tasmania on 26 October 1883. Charles was a farming man, I believe he grew hops.1,5 She married Henry Alfred Cranwell on 2 June 1892 in Tasmania, Australia.6
