     William Greathead was born on 10 December 1909 in 14 Rodwell Street, Trimdon Foundry, Sedgefield, Durham, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Greathead and Eliza Alton. He married Dorothy Ann Ritchie in 1940 in Durham, England.2 He died on 16 April 1997 in 8 Sycamore Crescent, Trimdon Station, Sedgefield, Durham, England, aged 87.3,4,5 Administration papers were issued with a will on 28 July 2005 to Dorothy his wife at Newcastle upon Tyne.5

     Dorothy Ann Ritchie was born on 29 July 1915 in Easington, Durham, England, her mothers maiden name was Chapman.1,2 She married William Greathead, son of Thomas Greathead and Eliza Alton, in 1940 in Durham, England.3 Her husband William died on 16 April 1997 in 8 Sycamore Crescent, Trimdon Station, Sedgefield, Durham, England, aged 87.4,5,6 Dorothy received the papers of her husbands will on 28 July 2005 from Newcastle upon Tyne Register Office.6 She died in April 2006 in Stockton, Durham, England, aged 90.7

     Robert Harold Greathead was born in 1903 in Chorlton, Lancashire, England.1 He was the son of Robert Greathead and Emily Gertrude Greer. He married Evelyn Kate Smithers, daughter of Henry Smithers, on 11 July 1925 in Romford Register Office, Romford, Essex, England, after a licence was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by C Morten Coleman and W R Bird. Robert was a Police Constable and gave his address as 52 Western Road, Romford, while Evelyn said she was a domestic servant living in High Street, Cowden, Kent.2 He died on 2 June 1966 in Pembury Hospital, Tonbridge, Kent, England, His usual address was 95 Moreton Road, Shelley, Ongar, Essex.3,4 He did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 2 September 1966 in London to his widow Eveline. His effects were valued at £861.4

Frederick was described as a sailor.1
