     Alfred Turmine was born on 19 October 1824 in Minster, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Rev Henry Turmine and Susanna Knight Atkinson.1 He was baptised on 17 December 1824 in Minster, Kent, England.1,3 Alfred served in the military, it is reported in the Kentish Gazette of 1 June 1847 page 3 column 5 near the top, as a mathematical instructor (Civilian) on board H.M.S. "Victory", 104 guns at Portsmouth, Hampshire. He was the second son of the late Rev Henry Turmine of Minster in the Isle of Sheppey.4 Alfred died on 7 February 1860 in Southampton, Hampshire, England, aged 35.1,2

     Augustus George Turmine was born on 22 January 1826 in Minster, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Rev Henry Turmine and Susanna Knight Atkinson.1 He was baptised on 15 July 1826 in Minster, Kent, England.1,3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Castle Street, Boarding School, Canterbury, Kent, England, he was listed as a pupil.1,4 Augustus died on 10 November 1843 in Sheppey, Kent, England, aged 17.1,5,6 Augustus was buried on 12 November 1843 in Minster, Isle of Sheppey, Kent, England.1 There was an obituary in Kentish Gazette. "Nov 10th after a short illness in this city Augustus Goerge a beloved youth and third son of the Rev Henry Turmine, of Minster in the Isle of Sheppey, aged 17, a King's scholar."1

     Edward Charles Turmine was born on 23 May 1827 in Minster, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Rev Henry Turmine and Susanna Knight Atkinson.1 He was baptised on 3 December 1828 in Minster, Kent, England.1,3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Minster, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of Rev Henry Turmine.4 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Banks Terrace, Canterbury, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of Susanna Knight Turmine Edward was a clerk in the Royal Navy.5,1 Edward was a Church Warden of Minster Parish Church from 1875 until his death.6 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 Banks Terrace, Minster, Kent, England, he was listed as the brother of Henry Thomas Atkinson Turmine Edward was a retired Paymaster in the Royal Navy.7,1 Edward died on 16 September 1884 in Sheppey, Kent, England, aged 57.1,8,9 The will of Edward was proved on 1 October 1884 at the Principal Registry to the Executors who were John Copland of Sheerness, a solicitor and Charles Arnol of Sheerness a surgeon. Edward was late of Banks Terrace, Sheerness. he was a retired Paymaster in the Royal Navy. His personal effects were valued at £2131 3s10d.10

The other sadly died a few hours after birth as was recorded in the Dover Telegraph of 7 December 1833 Page 8 Column 4.1,2 She was baptised on 28 November 1833 in Minster, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of Rev Henry Turmine and Susanna Knight Atkinson.1 Susanna died on 4 March 1839 in Sheppey, Kent, England, aged 5.1,3,4
