     Charles Atwood Gill was born in 1772.2 He was the son of John Gill and Margaret ....1 He married Elizabeth Turmaine, daughter of Jean Turmaine and Elizabeth Marsh, on 16 April 1797 in St John Baptist, Margate, Kent, England, The ceremony was witnessed by Stephen Crofts, Isabella Gill, Mary Sackett and John Turmayne. There are no known children from this marriage.1,3 His wife Elizabeth died on 1810.4 He died in 1820.2 He was buried on 27 September 1820 in St Dunstans, Canterbury, Kent, England.1

     Adelaide Mary Fowler was born about 1848.2 She married Charles Turmaine, son of Francois Pierre Nicolas Turmaine and Mary Ann Tritton, on 22 October 1871 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1,3,4 She died in 1880 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1,5 She was buried on 4 April 1880 in St George, Canterbury, Kent, England.1

     Kate Bryan married Charles Turmaine, son of Francois Pierre Nicolas Turmaine and Mary Ann Tritton, on 7 November 1880 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1,2,3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 5 Dover Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, she was listed as the wife of Charles Turmaine.4,1 She and Charles Turmaine emigrated on 25 August 1883 on the immigrant ship "Cape Clear" arriving in Hobart, Tasmania on 26 October 1883. Charles was a farming man, I believe he grew hops.1,5

     William Charles Turmaine was baptized on 14 May 1865 in St Gregory the Great, Canterbury, Kent, England, William was registered as William Henry.1 He was the son of William Turmaine and Ann Maria Dawkins.1

     Eliza K Bullock was born about 1838 in Norwood, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Billingsley Bullock and Elizabeth Lawrence.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 2 Norbury Hill Square, Kensington, London, England, she was listed as a pupil living with John and Esther Gilbert. Esther was a schoolmistress and her husband John a glove manufacturer. Eliza is listed as aged 13 and a scholar.2 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 10 Goring Station Road, Hastings, Sussex, England, she was listed as the sister of Frederick Bullock Eliza was living with her Curate brother and sister Julia.3
