Frank Herbert Stanley Turmaine1

     Frank Herbert Stanley Turmaine was born on 28 November 1887 in Canterbury, Kent, England.1,2,3 He was the son of William Henry Dawkins Turmaine and Eliza Frances Kemp.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 14 Havelock Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of William Henry Dawkins Turmaine.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 14 Havelock Street, Canterbury, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of William Henry Dawkins Turmaine.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Canterbury, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of William Henry Dawkins Turmaine The family were indexed as Turmine.6 He married Ellen J Aylett in 1913.7 Frank served in the Army Service Corps as a Private during WW1. His regiment number was MN/17705 and he received the Victory medal, his card is written with his surname spelt as Turmine.8 His wife Ellen died on 1960.7 Frank died on 12 November 1965 in 22 Kenilworth Gardens, Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex, England, aged 77 his usual address was 138 Aldborough Road South in Seven Kings.7,9,10 The will of Frank was proved on 10 December 1965 in London to his daughter Audrey Edmonston. His effects were valued at £319.10
