In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the son of George Greathead Edward was a scholar.4 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Upper Tower Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the son of George Greathead Edwin was a lapidary.5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 446 Park Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the brother of Thomas William Greathead Edwin was a goldsmith and jewelle.6 He married Mercy Sivil in 1875 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, Edwin Samuel.7 Edwin was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 63 Bridge St West, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, Edwin was a jeweller.8 His wife Mercy died on 18 May 1882 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.9,10 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Princess Alexandra Inn, 27 Kent Street North, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the brother in law of Hannah Sivil Edward was a jeweller.11 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 296 Burbury Street, Aston Manor, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the brother of Thomas William Greathead Edwin was a manufacturing jewellery.12
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 29 Trafalgar Road, Balsall Heath, Kings Norton, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the brother in law of Maria Greathead Edwin was listed as a former jeweller and gold locket maker.13 Edwin died on 21 June 1912 in 29 Trafalgar Road, Moseley, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.14,15 Edwin was buried in June 1912 in Witton Cemetery, Moor Lane, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.16 Edwin did not leave a will. Allam was a railway porter living with his wife, daughter and one other person probably Geoffrey their son.5 Allan died in 1963 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.6

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 12 Rodwell Street, Trimdon Colliery, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of Anthony Greathead Anthony worked in the colliery as an underground horsekeeper living with his wife, daughter and Aunt Mary Milne in their three roomed home. They had lost two of their three children before 1911.3 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 12 Rodwell Street, Trimdon Station, Wingate, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of Anthony Greathead.4 Mary died in 2001.1

     Ann Greathead was born in 1743/44 in Bank House, Grinton, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.1 She married James Littlefair on 15 June 1777 in Grinton, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been reead on 25 May, 1 and 8 June. Both Ann and James signed with a cross. The ceremony was witnessed by Wm March and Joseph Whitton.1,2,3,4 Ann died on 11 July 1819.1 Ann was buried in St Andrew's Churchyard, Grinton, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, James, Ann and John are all buried in the same plot.1

She was retired from the West Virginia Department of Employment Security, Unemployment Division. She had been a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 31 years and was currently an active member of the Xi Omicron Chapter. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Gideons Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star.
Her survivors include her husband, Harold Turner of Bluefield; daughter, Carol Collins and husband, "Connie', of Princeton; one son, Allen Turner and wife, Jo, of Edmond, Okla; one grandson, Chad Blackburn of Bluefield, and his fiancee, Kara McKinney of Bluewell; sisters, Opal Sawyers of Princeton and Mary Stanley of Big Four (Kimball); brothers, "Conk" Greathead of Big Four (Kimball), and Sam Greathead of Vivian; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel of Bluefleld with the Dr. I. Mark Conner officiating. Buria1 will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may call today at the funeral home from 6 to 9p.m.
The family suggests memorial donations, if desired, be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 401 College Ave., Bluefleld, WV 24701 in Doris's memory.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Collins, Ed Goodson, Scott Goodson, Dale Stamper and Mark Saunders.6,2
