He married Hilton Pearson, daughter of Georgius Pearson and Hylton Middleton, on 1 April 1786 in Hipswell, Yorkshire, England.2 He died on 22 June 1831 in Hudswell, Yorkshire, England.1,3 He was buried in St Michael and All Angels, Hudswell, Yorkshire, England, Hudswell near to the right of the porch with MI Hilton wife of George Greathead of Waitworth who died September 1796 aged 51 years George Greathead died 22 June 1831 aged 78 years.1,4 George and Hilton were bried in the same grave.4
