They had six children.1,4,5 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 207 Bates Houses, Middle Hulton, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of Joseph Bland.6 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 421 Salford Road, Bolton, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of Joseph Bland.7 Her husband Joseph Bland died on 1917 There was a court case about his death and much coverage in the press. Joseph and Ada's youngest daughter Laura died after a long illness two weeks before Joseph.1,8 She died before 1943 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, Her death was quite tragic following a gall stone operation. She was a very highly regarded woman, and reportedly the tallest woman in Bolton.1

     Harry Greathead was born on 30 September 1913 in 49 Burlington Street West, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada.2,3 He was the son of Albert Edward Clifford Greathead and Elsie Maud Halle.1 In the census of 1 June 1921 in 139 Hughson Street North, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he was listed as the son of Albert Edward Clifford Greathead.4 Harry enjoyed boxing and was clearly very good at it. The picture shows Harry with his cups, behind is his home 206 Cannon Street East, all later demolished.5,6 In the census of 1 June 1931 in 206 Cannon Street E, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he was listed as the son of Albert Edward Clifford Greathead.7 He married Irene Midwinter, daughter of Joseph Hewitt and Alice Graham, on 7 June 1947 in Canada Harry was Irene's second husband. They had twins John and Judy.1,2 Harry owned and operated a transport business in the 1950's and 1960's in Hamilton, Ontario.1 Harry died on 27 September 2006 in Canada aged 92.

     Irene Hewitt was born in 1917 in Chorlton, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Hewitt and Alice Graham.3 She married Frank Karl Midwinter about 1932 in Canada Frank was overseas during WW2 and apparently the marriage didn't last long after he returned to Canada.1 She married Harry Greathead, son of Albert Edward Clifford Greathead and Elsie Maud Halle, on 7 June 1947 in Canada Harry was Irene's second husband. They had twins John and Judy.1,3

     Frank Karl Midwinter was born on 10 October 1913 in 106 Birge Street, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, his parents were Frederick Midwinter and Augusta Keppheim who had married in 21 September 1910 in Hamilton.1,2 He married Irene Hewitt, daughter of Joseph Hewitt and Alice Graham, about 1932 in Canada Frank was overseas during WW2 and apparently the marriage didn't last long after he returned to Canada.1

     Angela ... was born in Canada Angela's mother's maiden name was Taite. Her grandparents were Robert Taite and Ethel née Brewster. Her greatgrandfather Joseph Taite was born in 1826 in Ireland.1 She married Frank Greathead, son of Frank Karl Midwinter and Irene Hewitt, in 1988 in Ontario, Canada.1

     John Arthur Greathead was born on 15 April 1879 in 13 Denmark Grove, Islington, London, England.1 He was the son of Alfred Augustus Greathead and Suzannah Davidson.1 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 46 John Street, Islington, London, England, he was listed as the son of Alfred Montgomery All the family are listed under the surname of Montgomery.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 48 John Street, Islington, London, England, he was listed as the son of Alfred Montgomery John was a scholar Again the family surname is listed as Montgomery.3 John was a member of Cape Mounted Rifles in the 1890’s in South Africa and was in Ireland, and with the 10th Hussars in the South Africa War 1899 -1902.4 He married Agnes Jane Mountford in 1910 in West Ham, London, England, Agnes was an orphan from Annerley Orphanage in the Beckenham area of South East London.5,4 He fought in WW1and on his medal card he gave his address as 82 Edward Road, Penge SE20.4,6 John and Agnes emigrated in 1936 with their children to South Africa settling in Grahamstown. John became physical training instructor at St Andrews College.4 John became a Major in WW2, he was in South African Defence force.4 John died in 1957 in South Africa.4
