     Joseph Bland was born about 1865 in Auston, Yorkshire, England.2,3 He married Ada Ellen Tunley, daughter of William Tunley and Michel Bryant, in 1890 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, Joseph and Ada moved to Bolton, Lancashire for him to gain employment. They had six children.1,4,5 Joseph was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 207 Bates Houses, Middle Hulton, Lancashire, England, Joseph was a stone quarryman and was living with his wife.6 Joseph was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 421 Salford Road, Bolton, Lancashire, England, Joseph was described as a stonemasons quarryman.7 He died in 1917 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, There was a court case about his death and much coverage in the press. Joseph and Ada's youngest daughter Laura died after a long illness two weeks before Joseph.1,8

     Arthur Gascoigne was the son of Richard Gascoigne and Selina Clara Tunley.1 Arthur was apparently a giant of a man, a qualified architect who got jobs but when he went for medicals and was told he was not fit enough, his height was putting a strain on his heart. So he remained unemployed but Clara, his mother, owned a row of houses, her own being the end one with a one acre garden complete with poultry so Arthur looked after the property.1

     Clarissa Ann Revans was born on 4 June 1844 in Coteau Laning, Quebec, Canada.1 She was the daughter of Stebbing Revans and C Ross.1 She married George Frederick Smith, son of William Mein Smith and Louise Basgrave Wallace, on 28 October 1864 in Huangarua, New Zealand.1 Her husband George died on 22 June 1913 in Carterton, New Zealand.1 Clarissa died on 26 May 1915 in Mauriceville, New Zealand, aged 70.1

     Katherine Frances Wortham was born on 31 October 1884 in Brentford, Middlesex, England.2,3,4 She was the daughter of Hale Wortham and Catherine Anne Brothers.5,6 She was baptised on 29 January 1888 in St Mary, Acton, London, England, with her siblings Ada and Katherine. The family were living in 37 Shakespeare Road in Action and their father was a Mercantile clerk.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 37 Shakeapeare Road, Acton, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Hale Wortham.7 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 47 Rathbone Place W, Marylebone, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Hale Wortham Katherine was Radiographer Medical Photographer.8 She married Herbert Stanley Billingsley Bullock, son of Charles Bullock and Marianna Jane Loughborough, on 3 July 1915 in St Ethelburga, Bishopsgate, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Hale Wortham and L C Bullock. Herbert was an insurance official and Katherine an Xray operator.9,2 Katherine died in 1919 in Hendon, London, England.10

     Hannah Fearne was born about 1832.2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Fearne and Ann ...3 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 18 Maple Row, Mile End, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Benjamin Fearne.4 Hannah gave birth to her son in the family home. She named him Charles Webb Fearne. The fathers name on the birth certificate was left blank.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Johns Terrace, Mile End, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Benjamin Fearne Hannahs father was widowed by now and working as a gardener.5 Hannah died in 1871 in Mile End, London, England.6
