     Joseph Bland was born about 1865 in Auston, Yorkshire, England.2,3 He married Ada Ellen Tunley, daughter of William Tunley and Michel Bryant, in 1890 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, Joseph and Ada moved to Bolton, Lancashire for him to gain employment. They had six children.1,4,5 Joseph was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in 207 Bates Houses, Middle Hulton, Lancashire, England, Joseph was a stone quarryman and was living with his wife.6 Joseph was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 421 Salford Road, Bolton, Lancashire, England, Joseph was described as a stonemasons quarryman.7 He died in 1917 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, There was a court case about his death and much coverage in the press. Joseph and Ada's youngest daughter Laura died after a long illness two weeks before Joseph.1,8

     Arthur Gascoigne was the son of Richard Gascoigne and Selina Clara Tunley.1 Arthur was apparently a giant of a man, a qualified architect who got jobs but when he went for medicals and was told he was not fit enough, his height was putting a strain on his heart. So he remained unemployed but Clara, his mother, owned a row of houses, her own being the end one with a one acre garden complete with poultry so Arthur looked after the property.1

     Hannah Fearne was born about 1832.3 She was the daughter of Benjamin Fearne and Ann ...2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 18 Maple Row, Mile End, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Benjamin Fearne.4 Hannah gave birth to her son in the family home. She named him Charles Webb Fearne. The fathers name on the birth certificate was left blank.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Johns Terrace, Mile End, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Benjamin Fearne Hannahs father was widowed by now and working as a gardener.5 She died in 1871 in Mile End, London, England.6
