     Joseph Hare was born in 1801 in Eccleshill, Bradford, Yorkshire, England.1 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Haigh Hall, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, Joseph was living with his widowed mother Hannah aged 75 and brother James aged 30. Both boys were cloth manufacturers.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Haigh Hall, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, Joseph was still living with his mother and brother. They were listed as working in the manufacture of woollen cloth.3,1 He married Charlotte Robinson in 1853.1 His wife Charlotte died on 1859 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.1,4 Joseph was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in 2 Haigh Hall, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, Joseph was living with his step children George and Elizabeth Firby. He was working as a woollen cloth manufacturer.5 He died in 1867 in Eccleshill, Bradford, Yorkshire, England.1

     Mary Anne Lowden was born in 1848.1 She was the daughter of George Lowden.1 She married Rev Arthur Henry Finn, son of James Finn and Elizabeth Ann McCaul, on 30 April 1884 in St Mary-le-Tower, Ipswich, Suffolk, England, by Rev J H Turnock. They had a daughter on 12 March 1885 called Myrtle Annie, a son Cyril who died, a son Basil Arthur born in Burmah 4 March 1888.1,2,3 She died on 3 July 1925.1
