     Amy Henrietta Baker was born in 1911 in Mutford, Suffolk, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Daniel Baker and Rosa Banthorpe.1 There is a wonderful photograph of Rosa and her children.1

     William Lincoln was born about 1798 in Poringland, Norfolk, England.1 He married Hepzibah Elizabeth ....1 William was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 June 1841 in Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, William was a farmer living with his wife and children William 13, Isabel 12, Eliza 9, Agnes 8, Ellis 6, Rufus 4,Hepzibah 2 and Ezekial 9 months.2 William was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Eastgate Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, William was a farmer of 33 acres living with his wife and children Edgar W 24, Ellis W 16, Rufus W 14, Hepzibah 12, Ezekia 10, Clement 8, Gilbert 5, Adelaide 2 and Ezras 6 months. Hepzibah, and Clement were listed as scholars.3 William was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in Saxlingham Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, William was a farmer of 33 acres living with his wife, and children William E 26, William R 24, Ebenezer 15 and Karrenhappuch 12.4 William was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Eastgate Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, William is still farming 33 acres and living with his wife, daughter Kirenhuppuch A Reeve and her husband Charles, a bricklayer and their daughter Emma age 2 months. Their son Clement and his wife Mary Ann were also in the household as was a grandson called Ralph Hulme Lincoln aged 9.5 William was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 3 April 1881 in Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, William was a farmer of 30 acres living with his wife and daughter Hepzibah.6 He died in 1887 in Henstead, Norfolk, England.1,7

     Hepzibah Elizabeth ... was born about 1807 in Shottisham, Norfolk, England.1 She married William Lincoln.1 In the census of 7 June 1841 in Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of William Lincoln.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Eastgate Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of William Lincoln.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Saxlingham Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of William Lincoln.4 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Eastgate Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of William Lincoln.5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the wife of William Lincoln.6 Her husband William died on 1887 in Henstead, Norfolk, England.1,7 Hepzibah was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in Near Chapel, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, Hepzibah was living with her unmarried daughter Henrietta aged 60.8 She died in 1895 in Henstead, Norfolk, England.9

     Ralph Hulme Lincoln was born in February 1862 in Henstead, Norfolk, England, It is understood that Ralph was the illigimate son of Hepzibah.2,1 He was the son of Hepzibah Elizabeth Lincoln.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Eastgate Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, she was listed as the grandson of William Lincoln.3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Muston, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the servant of George Hughes a farmer aged 34. He was listed as a farm servant.4 He married Emily Buck in 1896 in Henstead, Norfolk, England.5,6 Ralph was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Common Cr Green, Saxlingham, Norfolk, England, Ralph was a under game keeper living with his wife Emily.7

William Huzz Gardner
     William Huz Gardner was born on 20 October 1883 in St John's Maternity Home, 46 Gunter's Grove, Chelsea, London, England, at 7pm. Rhoda gave her address as 2 Mill Terrace, Chelsea. The GRO index has his and his twin brother Charles Buz surname as Gardener.1,2 He was the son of Henry Robert Gardner and Rhoda Richards.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Akeley, Buckinghamshire, England, he was listed as the nephew of George Richards his uncle and brother to his mother who was also in the household. He was a scholar.3 William was orphaned by the time he was aged 11.1 William was apprenticed by Barnados in Stepney at 16 to learn the printing trade. His middle name was spelt with a second z i.e. Huzz on this record.1 William was listed inmate on the census of 31 March 1901 in Boys Home Stepney, Ratcliff, London, England, he was listed as a printer.4 He married Sarah Elizabeth Moorhouse, daughter of William R Moorhouse and Eliza Catchsides, in 1905 in Camberwell, London, England.1,5 He married Frances Mary Arrowsmith, daughter of Walter William Arrowsmith and Jane Cartwright Greathead, on 17 December 1918 in St Paul's Church, Aston, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read. William was described as a widower and printer living at 33 Chain Walk. Frances gave her address as 138 lennox Street. The ceremoy was witnessed by Walter and Maud Arrowsmith.1,6 He died on 2 April 1941 in 48 Finchley Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, aged 57 from tuberculosis of the hip and had to wear a built up shoe as a result. The death certificate recorded Phthisis.1,7
