Henry Greathead was born about 1895.1 Henry was a labourer in Duffryn Rhondda Colliery when he was injured while unloading pitwood when a number of nine foot props rolled off wagons and fractured his leg. The Owner of the Colliery was Imperial navigation Coal Co Ltd in Cymmer, Glamorganshire.2

Rebecca Catherine Greated was baptized on 30 March 1891 in St Nicholas, County Galway, Ireland, her baptismal record states she lived at Lydican Castle Clare Galway. The ceremony was performd by J F Berry.2 She was the daughter of Joseph John Greated and Charlotte Sharman.1 Rebecca was stated in a newspaper article in Belfast News Letter of 5 December 1900 as the second daughter of the late Brother Joseph John Greated of Ciaregalway. She was one of six girls admitted by the govenors of the Masonic Girl's School.1
