     Henry Greathead was born about 1895.¹ Henry was a labourer in Duffryn Rhondda Colliery when he was injured while unloading pitwood when a number of nine foot props rolled off wagons and fractured his leg. The Owner of the Colliery was Imperial navigation Coal Co Ltd in Cymmer, Glamorganshire.²

     Rebecca Catherine Greated was born in 1891 in County Galway, Ireland.^2,3 She was baptised on 30 March 1891 in St Nicholas, County Galway, Ireland, her baptismal record states she lived at Lydican Castle Clare Galway. The ceremony was performd by J F Berry.⁴ She was the daughter of Joseph John Greated and Charlotte Sharman.¹ Rebecca was stated in a newspaper article in Belfast News Letter of 5 December 1900 as the second daughter of the late Brother Joseph John Greated of Ciaregalway. She was one of six girls admitted by the govenors of the Masonic Girl's School.¹ In the census of 31 March 1901 in Masonic School, Simmons Court Road, Donnybrook, Dublin, Ireland, she was listed as a pupil and boarder.⁵ In the census of 2 April 1911 in Lydacam, Carnmore, County Galway, Ireland, she was listed as the daughter of Charlotte Greated Charlotte was described as a farmer living with her four children, all of the Church of Ireland faith. The house was made of brick or stone with a tile or sate roof and six rooms with 16 windows inthe front. It also had one stable, one coach house, one harness room, one cow shed, one calf shed, one piggery, one fowl house, one barn, one turf house, one shed and four out offices.⁶ She died in 1914 in County Galway, Ireland.^7,8

It was witnessed by Robert B MacLachlan and Charotte Greated. Walter was an engineer and gave his address as Knockerra Killmer in County Clare while Christiana gave her address as Lydican Castle.      Walter MacLachlan was born about 1888.¹ He was the son of James Boyd MacLachlan.² He married Christiana Mary Greated, daughter of Joseph John Greated and Charlotte Sharman, on 12 May 1915 in Collegiate Church, St Nicholas, County Galway, Ireland, The ceremony was performed by J Fleetwood Berry after a licence had been issued. It was witnessed by Robert B MacLachlan and Charotte Greated. Walter was an engineer and gave his address as Knockerra Killmer in County Clare while Christiana gave her address as Lydican Castle.      James Greated Haigh was born on 15 October 1920.¹ He was the son of Francis Fraser Haigh and Charlotte Greated.¹ He died in February 1988 in Surrey, England, aged 67.^1,2

     Jeremiah Petty was the son of Jeremiah Petty.² He married Alice Greated, daughter of Joseph John Greated and Mary Shayler, on 26 June 1879 in County Galway, Ireland, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Joseph Greated and Dominick Petty. Alice gave her address as Lydican Castle and Jeremiah as Headford an his occupation was a farmer like his father.¹
