     Mary Allen was born about 1840 in Lindridge, Worcestershire, England.1 She was the daughter of John Allen and Amelia Freeman.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Lindridge, Worcestershire, England, she was listed as the daughter of John Allen Mary was a scholar.2

Ernest Charles Coombs1

Ernest Charles Coombs
     Ernest Charles Coombs was born on 20 January 1859 in Camberwell, London, England.2,3 He was baptised on 19 June 1859 in St Giles, Camberwell, London, England, his parents were Joseph and Eliza Coombs with their abode being described as Westmoreland and Joseph working as a loco keeper.4 He married Eliza Harriett Dennett on 7 August 1881 in All Saints, Southwark, London, England, after the banns had been read on 24 July, 31 July and 7 August.2,5 Ernest was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 14 Claude Road, Peckham, London, England, Ernest was a harness maker living with hs wife and children.6 In 1895 Ernest was listed as a harness maker on the baptismal records of three of his children. He is still a harness maker in 1911 when his daughter Lily marries George.7 Ernest was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 4 Cottage Street, Poplar, London, England, Ernest was a harness maker living with his wife and children.8 His wife Eliza died on 21 October 1910 in Poplar, London, England, aged 50 in the sick asylum.2,9 Ernest was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 49 Bygrove Street, Poplar, London, England, Ernest was a harness maker living with three of his children in his two roomed home. It would appear that they had two rooms, Ernest's son William, his wife and daughter also lived in another two rooms in the same house.10 Ernest died in 1926 in Lewisham, London, England.11

     Elizabeth Greathead was the daughter of Thomas Greathead.1 She married James Thompson, son of James Thompson, on 21 March 1843 in St Mary, Putney, London, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was wtnessed by Silas Jordan and Mary Weaver. James was a carpenter and both James and Elizabeth lived in Putney.1,2

     Abraham Waite was born about 1832 in Abinghall, Gloucestershire, England.1 Abraham was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in Hazel Hill, East Dean, Gloucestershire, England, Abraham was a boiler maker living with his housekeeper, who became his wife the following year.2 He married Eliza Phelps in 1862 in Westbury on Severn, Gloucestershire, England.1,3 Abraham died before 1871 he was described as a blacksmith on his daughters marriage certificate.1
