     Arthur Frank Baum was born in 1887 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1,2 He was the son of Arthur Ireland Baum and Emily Jane Frith.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 44 St Albans Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, he was listed as the son of Arthur Ireland Baum.4 He married Phyllis May Greathead-Montgomery, daughter of William Alexander Greathead and Florence Kate Elton, in 1922 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1,5,6 Phyllis and Frank lived in 4 Prospect Avenue, Swanage, Dorset. Frank helped develop nylon during WW2. Phyllis loved to travel and visited family in South Africa several times.1 Arthur died in 1956.1
