Their address was listed as 5 Haymarket Road and their father was a harness maker.² In the census of 31 March 1901 in 4 Cottage Street, Poplar, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Ernest Charles Coombs.⁵ In the census of 2 April 1911 in 30 Portree Street, Bromley, London, England, she was listed as a boarder staying with Charles and Eunice Lee and their family in their three roomed home. Lily was an asbestos spinner.⁶ She married George Alfred Greathead, son of George Christopher Greathead and Louisa M Steel, on 4 November 1911 in St Saviour's, Poplar, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by William Henry Coombs and Elizabeth Coombs. And their children five children May who was listed as incapacitated, Albert who was a shorthand typist and book-keeper, Ronald, Joyce and Alfred. George was a ships clerk.¹⁰ Her husband George died on 19 March 1946 in Guys Hospital, Southwark, London, England, aged 56.^11,7 Lily ran a B&B three houses down from Hook roundabout on Hook Rise for many years after her husband died.¹² Lily died in 1968 in Canterbury, Kent, England.¹³

     Louisa Grace Bullock was born on 8 April 1924 in West Ham, London, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of George William Bullock and Louisa Jane Bettis. She married Alfred Douglas Greathead, son of George Alfred Greathead and Lily Coombs, on 4 December 1948 in Christ Church, Sutton, Surrey, England, The marriage was witnessed by L G Bullock, R Gray and F Morris.
