He married Ethel Florence Greathead, daughter of Thomas Paul Greathead and Leah Waite, in 1927 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, the ceremony either took place in Chorlton on Medlock Register Office or the Registrar attended.1,2 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Frederick was listed as living at 133 Wells Green, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, with his wife Ethel. Frederick was a brickworks manager.3

     Norman Frank Greathead was born on 12 December 1906 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Frank Greathead and Mary Orton White. He was baptised on 10 January 1907 in St Mary, Handsworth, Warwickshire, England, his family lived in144 Hamstead Road and his father was a cabinet maker.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 37 Wye Cliff Road, Handsworth, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of Frank Greathead.3 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 37 Wye Cliff Road, Handsworth, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of Frank Greathead.4 Mary took her son Norman on a round voyage leaving Liverpool on 2 September 1926. They sailed aboard SS Andorinha from the Yeoward Line bound for the Canary Islands. The ship was carring 68 passengers and was registered as 1421 tonnage. The Master for the voyage was A Frith. They arrived back in Liverpool on 16 September 1926 with last port of call being Las Palmas, Spain. They gave their address in UK as Nacrodal, Wycliffe Road, Handsworth Birmingham.5,6 Frank, Mary and their son Norman sailed on 27 May 1929 from Southampton to the Canary Island on board the ship Otranto. They returned to Southampton on 8 June 1929 giving their address in UK as c/o J W Lazenby, 56 Corporation Street, Birmingham.5,7 Norman died on 8 March 1932 in The Dawn, 29 Hamstead Hill, Handsworth, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, aged 25.8,9 Norman was buried in March 1932 in Witton Cemetery, Moor Lane, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.10 Norman did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 29 April 1932 in Birmingham to his father Frank Greathead a company secretary. His effects were valued at £1499 7s 0d.8

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 6 Warwick Road, Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales, he was listed as the son of Frank Greathead.3 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 155 Albert Road, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, he was listed as the son of Laura Gertrude Greathead.4 He married Phyllis Taylor in 1936 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Norman Frank Greathead was listed as living at Cartref, Stratford Road, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, with his wife and mother Norman worked was an ATD Engineering Inspector.2 His Aunt Nellie died on 27 February 1953 aged 68.6,7 He proved the will of his Aunt Nellie Elizabeth Greathead on 4 June 1953.6 Norman received the administration on his Aunt Nellie's effects on 4 June 1953. He was an engineering inspector.6 Norman died on 22 January 1976 in Rose Cottage, The Coombe, Harrowbarrow, Cornwall, England, aged 67.8,9 Norman did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 15 April 1976 in Winchester. His effects were valued at £13,810.9

     Phyllis Taylor was born on 14 August 1912.1,2 She married Norman Frank Greathead, son of Frank Greathead and Laura Gertrude Dixon, in 1936 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Phyllis Greathead was listed as living at Cartref, Stratford Road, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, with her husband and mother in law.2 Phyllis died on 8 November 1992 in Rose Cottage, Coombe Harrowbarrow, Callington, Cornwall, England, aged 80.4,5 Her body was cremated in November 1992 in Yardley Crematorium, Yardley Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.6 Phyllis did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 17 December 1992 in Birmingham, Her effects were described as not exceeding £125,000.5

     Thomas Neville was born about 1817 in Walton on Thames, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Neville.2 He married Patience Young, daughter of Thomas Mitchell, on 28 February 1869 in St James, Westminster, London, England, Thomas and Patience were both widowed and gave their address as Bomick Street. The ceremony took place after banns being read and was witnessed by William Frederick Akhurst and Charlotte Jormon Akehurst.3 Thomas was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Croydon, Surrey, England, Thomas was a retired boat maker.4 Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in Fern Bank, Whitton Road, Twickenham, Surrey, England, Thomas was a retired cordwainer.5 The will of James Greathead # 2455 was proved at Carlisle to Thomas Neville of Fern Bank, Twickenham. He was classed as Gentleman and brother by the half blood to James. At present I cannot find out how this link was made.6 Thomas died in 1890 in Staines, Middlesex, England.1,7

     Jacob Greathead married Anne Mary ...2 He died on 3 October 1750 in Creesham, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, I believe his surname may have been GRASSKOPF.1 The will of Jacob was proved on 11 October 1750 Jacob was a Mason.2
