     Joseph Alexander Greathead was born on 6 January 1893 in Ontario, Canada, sadly a few months after his father died.1,2,3 He was the son of Joseph George Greathead and Isabella Dunbar. In the census of 31 March 1901 in Southampton, Ontario, Canada, he was listed as the grandson of Elsie Dunbar.4,5 He married Almeda Grasser, daughter of Henry Grasser and Lucinda Wagner, on 26 December 1917 in Wellington, Ontario, Canada, Joseph was a grocer. The ceremony was witnessed by Flora Ronaldson of Palmerston and Erland Ronaldson of Palmerston.6,7
