     Mary Jane Gibson was born in 1875 in Ronaldkirk, Yorkshire, England.1,3 She was the daughter of William Gibson and Jane Lowson.2 She married Thomas Greathead, son of William Thomas Greathead and Mary Isabella Anderson, on 15 September 1900 in Teesdale, Durham, England, Mary was Thomas first wife.4,5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Headley Cottages, South Moor, Oxhill, Lanchester, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter in law of William Thomas Greathead.6 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 39 Maple Street, South Moor, Stanley, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Greathead.7 She died in 1920 in Lanchester, Durham, England.8

     James Matthew A Greathead was born on 31 October 1941 in Durham, England, James was brought up by his grandparents Matthew and Ethel Greathead.2,1 He was the son of Ethel Greathead.1 He was Was in the RAF with Stan Sheehan in 1960.3 Unable to have children so adopted Susan.1 He died on 23 March 1997 in Stoneleigh Nursing Home, Annfield Plain, Stanley, Durham, England, aged 55.4,5 Administration papers were issued with a will on 17 July 2006 in Leeds to The Thompson Partnership, 11 Ford Park Road, Nutley, Plymouth and granted to June Newton.5
