He and Clara had three further children who had died before 1911.2 Robert was listed as head of household in the census of 19 June 1921 in 33 Burton Road, Coseley, Staffordshire, England, Robert was a mechanical engineer working for J & C Holcrofts, the iron works in Tipton living with his wife, children and grandchildren.3

Herbert Archer Croft

Sir Herbert Archer Croft
     Herbert Archer Croft was born on 5 September 1868 in Lugwardine, Herefordshire, England. He was the son of Herbert George Denman Croft and Georgina Eliza Lucy Marsh. He married Kathleen Hare on 20 June 1892 Kathleen was the daughter of John Hare.1 He married Katherine Agnes Parr on 3 February 1903 in Lugardice Court, Lugwardine, Herefordshire, England.2 Herbert died on 11 August 1915 aged 46 Sir Herbert Archer Croft was killed in action while fighting as a Captain in the Herfordshire Regiment. He is remembered on the Helles Memorial at Gallipoli.3 Herbert was buried in St Michael and All Angels Churchyard, Lugwardine, Herefordshire, England, there is a memorial on North wall of chancel.1
