George Greathead was born about 1724.1 He married Sarah Chase on 10 June 1786 in Sunbury, Middlesex, England.2 George paid £1 15s in land tax for his Sunbury home in 1801 and 1802 and it appears as a house and garden in the Poll book for 1802.3,4 His wife Sarah died on before 1802. He married Sally Stone on 9 October 1802 in St Mary, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Crispin Darke and Rebecca Harmond. George was a widower, Sally was a spinster.5,6 His wife Sally died on 1803 in Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England.7 George paid 10s 10d in 1804 in Land Tax and was living in Sunbury.3 George died in 1812 in Walton on Thames, Surrey, England.8 George signed his will on 10 April 1812 saying he was living with Hannah Neville and she had two children James and Sophie. Bequests were left to all three of them and George's son George believed to be in Jamaica.9 George was buried on 22 April 1812 in St Mary, Walton on Thames, Surrey, England.8 The will of George was proved on 20 June 1812 in London before the Worshipful Joseph Phillimore Doctor of Laws by the oath of Roger Rogerson a coalerchant and Executor of will.9

The ceremony was witnessed by E W Thompson, M A Lamb (? Aunt-in-law) J Walter Todd. George was a master printer. Margaret gave her address as 2 Bolton Road, Seaton Carew, and George gave 48 Hutton Avenue, West Hartlepool. Both fathers were deceased, Thomas Henry Todd had been a timber merchant traveller and Norman James Lamb had been a farmer.4 Margaret died in 1962 in South Shields, Durham, England.5
