     Amy Ward married Reuben Meadows, son of Reuben Meadows and Elizabeth Banthorpe, in 1914 in Plomesgate, Suffolk, England.1 Her husband Reuben died on 28 September 1916 in France killed in action while serving as a Private with 7th Battalion of Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment Number G/21183. He had previously served as 26971 in the Middlesex Regiment.2 Amy received widows gratuity of £2 2s 10d on 21 November 1917 and a further £3 on 24 October 1919.3

     Lilian May Reeve married Ernest William Meadows, son of Reuben Meadows and Elizabeth Banthorpe, on 22 December 1917 in Dennington Church, Dennington, Suffolk, England.1,2 Her husband Ernest died on 22 March 1918 in France he was a Sergeant in the Cambridgeshire Regiment Number 200350.3 Lilian was awarded on 5 July 1918 a war gratuity of £8 11s 6d and a further £20 on 21 November 1919.4

     Ellen Nappy was born about 1849 in Hammersley, Durham, England.1 She married Robert Nicholas Lamb, son of Samuel Lamb and Eleanor Newcomb, on 17 May 1875 in St John the Evangelist, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Stancliff and Anne Nappy. Robert was a butcher and gave his address as 2 Alexander Place. His father Samuel was a farmer. Ellen gave her address as Seacroft, her father William was also a farmer.1 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 51 Templar Street, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Robert Nicholas Lamb.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 8 Caukerwell Lane, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Robert Nicholas Lamb.3 Ellen was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 19 Ritter Street, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, Ellen was a married lady living with two of her children. I am unsure where her husband Robert was that night.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 19 Ritter Street, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Robert Nicholas Lamb.5

     Kathleen Lamb was born on 1 July 1905 in Blackheath, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Morris Charles Lamb and Margaret Elizabeth Till.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 12 Coleraine Road, Blackheath, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Morris Charles Lamb.3 She married Brian Houghton Brown on 29 June 1929 in St John the Evangelist, Blackheath, London, England, after the banns had been read on , 16 and 23 June. The ceremony was witnessed by Constance Houghton Brown, Margaret Lamb and Morris Charles Lamb. Brian was an engineer, his father Ernest Houghton Brown was also an engineer. Kathleen's father Morris Charles Lamb was a Principal at the Leathersellers College. Brian gave 5b Warwick Avenus Maida Vale as his address.
