He was baptised on 2 September 1783 Charles was described as son of William Lamb of East Hartburn and Margaret his wife.¹ He married Margaret Elliot, daughter of Thomas Elliot and Margaret Harris, on 1 November 1813 in Darlington, Durham, England.^2,3 He died on 18 October 1847 in Glebe House, Darlington, Durham, England, aged 64.^3,4 He was buried on 20 October 1848 in St Andrew, Haughton le Skerne, Durham, England, in plot 208 with his wife.^5,6

     Catherine Lamb was born on 30 May 1785 in Durham, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Lamb and Margaret Gill. She was baptised on 28 July 1785 in Durham, England, she was described as the daughter of William Lamb of East Hartburn and Margaret his wife.¹ She died on 27 March 1813 aged 27.^2,3,4 She was buried in All Saints Church, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham, England.^2,5

     George Francis Sterne was born in 1852 in Canada. He was the son of Henry Tyghe Sterne and Sarah Woods. He married Elizabeth Morris Green. He died in 1919.

     Matthew Charles Lamb was born on 16 September 1908 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.^3,4 He was the son of Matthew Lamb and Sarah Florence Smith. In the census of 2 April 1911 in 27 Belgrave Gardens, Hartlepool, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Matthew Lamb.⁵ He married Margaret Dale, daughter of George Henry Dale and Sarah Elizabeth Spurr, in 1936 in Brierley, Yorkshire, England.^3,6 He was a bank clerk. He died on 8 March 1950 in Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, aged 41 from Carcinoma of caecus, his brother H Lamb was the informant.^2,3,7

     Margaret Dale was born on 20 January 1913 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England.^3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of George Henry Dale and Sarah Elizabeth Spurr.³ She married Matthew Charles Lamb, son of Matthew Lamb and Sarah Florence Smith, in 1936 in Brierley, Yorkshire, England.^3,7 Her husband Matthew died on 8 March 1950 in Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, aged 41 from Carcinoma of caecus, his brother H Lamb was the informant.^2,3,8 She died on 27 December 1993 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, aged 80.^3,4,9

     Henry Lamb was born on 13 March 1911 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.^2,3 He was the son of Matthew Lamb and Sarah Florence Smith. In the census of 2 April 1911 in 27 Belgrave Gardens, Hartlepool, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Matthew Lamb.⁴ Henry was present at death of his brother Matthew Charles Lamb on 8 March 1950 in Bradford Henry worked hard for cancer research and had a weather station on top of his shop. The local paper (in the past) carried daily readings from him. He never married.⁵ He was a jeweller. He died on 26 May 1985 in Northallerton, Yorkshire, England, aged 74.^2,6,7 He was buried in Stranton Grange Cemetery, Tanfield Road, Hartlepool, Durham, England, The headstone reads: Harry Lamb a dear son and brother died May 26th 1985 aged 74 years. A dear uncle who is sadly missed.⁶

     Elizabeth Lamb was born on 21 April 1914 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of Matthew Lamb and Sarah Florence Smith. She was a teacher. She died on 15 December 1989 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England, aged 75.^1,4,5 She was buried in Stranton Grange Cemetery, Tanfield Road, Hartlepool, Durham, England, Her headstone reads: Elizabeth Lamb a dear daughter, sister and aunt who is sadly missed died December 15th 1989 aged 75 years.⁴

     Douglas Lamb was the son of Henry Lawrence Lamb and Ella Smyth.² He was a medical Doctor.

     There is a delightful four generation photograph. Ellen, her daughter Georgina, her grandaughter Emily and great grandaughter Olive.² Olive Marion Birks was born on 9 February 1913 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.^2,3,4,5 She was the daughter of Hugh Hallifield Birks and Emily Douglas Lamb. She was baptized on 26 March 1913 in St Pauls Church, Hartlepool, Durham, England, while living at 30 Burn Valley Road.⁴ Olive trained as a nurse at York County Hospital from 1934-37 and then as a midwife at Bank Hall Maternity Hospital, Burnely, Lancashire. In 1941 she joined the Princess Mary's RAF Nursing Service and served in England, Egypt, Italy and North Africa until 1946. In 1952, after working in London and Surrey her love of trees took her to San Francisco where she married her husband and then retired. They returned to London after a couple of years in Louisiana, her husband was seconded to the US Air Force. Their shared interest in trees led to their meeting, probably through a society known as "Men of the Trees."⁶ She married Derek Edmund Davies on 22 December 1954 in San Francisco, California, USA, Derek met and married Olive in USA when Olive was there with the Queen Alexander Nursing Corps.^3,7 She died on 2 April 1967 in Thirsk, Yorkshire, England, aged 54 of a brain tumour when her daughter Emily was just six years old.^2,7,8

     Derek Edmund Davies was born on 6 February 1917 in Reading, Berkshire, England, his mothers maiden name was Connell.^2,3 He was RAF Wing Commander - decorated in WW2 - 149 Squadron aircraft flew in film "Target for tonight" D.S.O., D.F.C. & Bar.² He married Olive Marion Birks, daughter of Hugh Hallifield Birks and Emily Douglas Lamb, on 22 December 1954 in San Francisco, California, USA, Derek met and married Olive in USA when Olive was there with the Queen Alexander Nursing Corps.^4,5 His wife Olive died on 2 April 1967 in Thirsk, Yorkshire, England, aged 54 of a brain tumour when her daughter Emily was just six years old.^2,5,6 He married Gweneth R Wilson in April 1989 in Taunton, Somerset, England.⁷ He died in November 2006 in Yorkshire, England, aged 89 His funeral was very impressive and touching. The RAF supplied pallbearers and held his coffin over the grave while a jet fighter screamed over above the treetops. It was apparently a spine tingling sight and send off.^2,8

     Robert William Lamb was born on 4 June 1944 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.^2,1,3 He was the son of Norman Anderson Lamb and Dorothy Hull. He was baptised in All Saints Church, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham, England.⁴ He married Anne Dalby on 30 August 1967 in Cleveland, Durham, England.^5,6 He was a jeweller in the Lamb jewellery shop in Hartlepool.⁷ He died on 15 May 2007 in Hartlepool, Durham, England, aged 62.^8,9,6

     Ian Nicholas Crass was born in 1972 in Teesside, Durham, England.^1,2 He was the son of Geoffrey Nicholas Crass and Penelope Mary Lamb. He died in December 1979 in an accident.^1,3
