     Margaret Lamb was born in 1876 in Seaton Carew, Durham, England.1 She was the daughter of Martin Lamb and Margaret Tinkler. In the census of 3 April 1881 in Wolviston, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of Martin Lamb.2 Margaret died on 20 April 1890 in Ashburn Street, Seaton Carew, Durham, England, she had been suffering from anaemia for 4 months. Her father Martin registered the death. He was working as a cartman.3

     Robert Lamb was born about 1817 in Melsonby, Yorkshire, England. He married Margaret Emmerson in 1839 in Auckland, Durham, England.1 Robert was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Neasham Village, Neasham, Durham, England, Robert was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and daughters.2 Robert was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 April 1861 in High Grange, St Giles, Durham, England, Robert was a farmer of 87 acres employinng 1 man living with his wife and children and one farm servant.3 His wife Margaret died on 1867 in Stockton, Durham, England.4 Robert was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Farm House, Ferry Hill, Durham, England, Robert was a farmer of 120 acres living with his children.5 He married Elizabeth Temperley in 1872 in Newcastle on Tyne, Durham, England.6 Robert was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in Ferryhill, Durham, England, Robert was a retired farmer living with his new wife and son.7 Robert died on 15 July 1890 in Tudhoe Grange, Durham, England.8,9 His estate was probated on 20 May 1891 Administration was granted in Durham to his widow Elizabeth. His estate was valued at £80.9
